Happy Halloween, capsuleers! We're going to spare you the usual spooktacular, unboolievable, terrorrific wordplay you normally find at this time of year and instead offer you a very different wordplay challenge: write an EVE Online horror story.
This is our second fan fiction bounty. The first, 'Once Upon a Time in New Eden', had no theme and led to some brilliant stories. For this one, it has to be a horror story. But let's face it: EVE is the perfect IP for horror. Be it solo pilots stranded in the abyss of space, ruthless cannibalistic pirates, space cults, or simply the lifecycle of a capsuleer - endless death and rebirth might not be all it's cracked up to be.
Like last time, you can choose whether your story takes written or video form. If you opt for the latter, creepy sounds effects are very much welcome.
Keep it to a maximum of 1,000 words, but don't feel like it needs to be that long. A wise person once said "A story is as short as it needs to be." Winners will be chosen based on popularity, creativity, quality-of-writing, and spookiness.
