Battle report

We have your best EVE Kill mails, but what about your best battle reports? Give your take on a battle that took place which destroyed fleets of ships or turned the tide in wars. Better yet, showcase the battle through video for a better shot at the prize.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Thanks for the suggestion DamianWarlock. We actually used to run a 'battle report of the month' reward, but we rarely received many submissions for it. We'll consider returning to it though o7

DamianWarlock's avatar

Would love to see it! I do cinematic battle reports with a 3D space mouse - so I would love to showcase some of it!

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Very cool. I've made a note to tag you if we try them again

Art in Eve

I noticed there are quite a few art related bountys arround. Some for Eve through the SKINR, but I have seen none yet like the one I had in mind.

How about a reward for drawing your favorite Eve ship in real life?

I am personally not very good at drawing but I would love to see what people can come up with.

Thanks for your time

Usi's avatar

For the upcoming Freelance Jobs - i siggest a contest where people have to come up with unique ways to use this platform (assuming its possible)
Or if thats not possible come up with unique ideas that could be implemented for it

Thanks Usi! We were thinking of something similar too. Stay tuned for this in early June!

Eve Sprint.

Run a community "running race" / competition / event to get from A to B and complete a set of challenges - with the fastest time winning.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

FUN INC this could be fun. Could you share any more info about how it would work? Which start and end points would you choose to stop players from being excluded? How would you judge who made it first?

FUN INC's avatar

Just a skeleton idea at the moment.

Starting in Jita and ending in jita, randomly select 5-10 locations and travel to those locations, complete a task (time date stamped picture docked in a station, or at the sun for example)

Fastest time from undock to dock is the winner.

To add some curveballs, you could also include some losec and nullsec locations where crafty campers could be located :P - this would not only test peoples route planning, but also their tenacity at being able to rush gatecamps! :P

Space Chef Challenge

Description: You have to create a dish inspired by one of the factions of Eve Online recalling some of its characteristics. Obviously in addition to the image of the ready dish, also the ingredients (recipe) and the realization maybe step by step. Add the post on social media with the tag #EveSpaceChef

Originality is rewarded and obviously the connection with Eve Online

O

Calling all Capsular, share what your favorite Mission Agent sounds like to you. We need your voice to bring the Agents to life. We will need from you, the agent and mission name, with your most dramatic characterization acting as voice of the agent offering the capsuleer the mission.

The winers will become the voice work needed for the Missions Agents.

Interesting idea Oddyssus! We don't have the power to make changes directly in-game, but this is something I could run by CCP to see whether it's plausible. We achieved something similar in our Two-Point Museum community and one of our members will be featured on the museum tannoy system.

Far_Wanderer's avatar

I would like to suggest a Flying In Formation screenshot award.

Applicants may submit screenshots of them flying in formation with their faction or corpmates.

The more complex and organized the fleet formations (including patterns or shapes formed by the fleet), the better.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Nice idea. I believe this was one of the earliest Just EVE rewards we ever ran. About time for a rerun then! I've added it to our calendar.

Imagine Eve Online as a fantasy RPG and design its own banner. Ancient fantasy style graphic creation

EVE Online: 1066!

This has certainly got us thinking. Very cool idea!

I think giving tips on what's the best way to earn ISK would help a newbie or someone that is really struggling.

They should make like a list from best to worst on how to earn ISK and maybe they should add like a video so others can understand it better

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Thanks Syamzx - I like the best-to-worst list approach! We'll get this in the calendar.

The reward I suggest, since there were things focused on music, is to create a fake graphic album inspired by Eve Online. So just a mockup of an album with possible song titles, indicating minutes, style of the pieces. So the evaluation can be done based on the graphic impact and possible track titles (obviously invented) that recall the game.

Then I don't know, you could also create some tracks perhaps with instrumentals that recall the album in the competition.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

What an interesting idea! Thanks!

It would be interesting to see documentaries on your journey, with the most beautiful moments, the most beautiful things seen and explored, a sort of television documentary to be clear, of course with their own game scenes.

Naonao's avatar

I have some idea and it's not really complicated, my idea is called a strategy fleet formation and lost in deep story telling.

About a strategy fleet formation, a contestant could submit plans for fleet formations optimized for different battle scenarios, like ambushes or large scale invasions.

The second idea is lost in deep story telling, a participant have submit short narratives about a pilot lost in deep space, encontering unknown threats or making impossible decisions.

About a reward you can have 7$ or 5$, not that big, because it's really not a big contest how ever it's just about a having fun and we can share our story in this contest :D, I hope to enjoy ;p

S

Have a contest for the most ventures ganked in hi-sec in one day. A contestant could link to zkillboard or screenshot the killmails. Contestants would be judged for appearing on the killmail for any kill of a venture in hi-sec, regardless of whether it was a solo or group kill.

If you were to run an alliance, how would you strucure it? Would you organize strict hierarchies and chains of command? Would you be an industrial- or combat-focused alliance? (or BOTH?)

Any and all ideas you have for how you'd run the alliance of your wildest dreams, put them here!

( prizes: larger prize amounts for video submissions, smaller prizes for text submissions. However - be subjective about it! Low-effort video submissions who clearly only did it to get the bigger prize? nothing. clearly high-effort (and non-AI) text submissions from people who maybe don't or can't have a youtube channel/etc? bigger tier of prize! )

Back in 2016 we were discussing alternative things you could do with a Titan, like projecting movies on the side of one, when a hashtag idea was born. It took off over on Twitter and got picked up on Reddit as well.

#MakeAMovieEve

https://x.com/search?q=%23MakeAMovieEve&src=typeahead_click

https://eveoganda.blogspot.com/2016/01/makeamovieeve.html

There are some truly great movie titles in here. So the reward idea would be to take one and make a movie poster based on it, either an existing one or a new one. Could be a fun and creative reward.

Or maybe something else?

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Love it! Consider it scheduled.

EVE has always lived on propaganda, and banners have played a key role in shaping narratives and starting the ward. My reward idea is simple: create a new propaganda banner on any topic you like - be it game events, your corp’s current war, or anything else that fits the EVE universe.

No AI allowed—pure human creativity only.

However, I also recomend create a separate reward where each participant submits a propaganda poster made exclusively by AI (and names the tool used). No edits allowed - not even text, just raw artificial production.

As a result: curated showdown - humans vs. AI in the art of propaganda.

p.s. i want more stop motion rewards too, i still got maany veggie ideas :P

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Very nice. I've added all three to our list! Viva las vegetales 🫘 🌽 🌶️ 🥕 🫚 🥔 🍄‍🟫

My reward idea is more of a series that could be called "EVE Professions." The concept is simple: pick a profession you like from this reward:

https://justabout.com/eve-online/38363/tell-us-about-eves-unofficial-career-reward

Then, create a separate reward to deep dive into it from multiple angles, incorporating the experiences of different players.

Over time, this could evolve into a curated "cookbook" of EVE professions, serving as a comprehensive resource for new and veteran players.

With the last Merc Den screenshot challenge, I thought it would be interesting to have a WH screenshot challenge. You'd have to find a wormhole system with an effect and take a pretty picture.

It would maybe be a two tiered reward with 3$ for low effort screenshots and 5$ for pictures with good composition, colours (matching skins) and a little bit of post-processing.

You would maybe have to share your screenshot on social media and add a second shot that shows the ingame calendar with your current ship & effect in the background to make sure the pictures were actually taken for this bounty and not stock footage from your journeys.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

What's the saying about great minds thinking alike? We've got this scheduled for next week!

Hahaha, crazy! Looking forward to it then!

EVE is pretty – let’s show it off!

I’m a photographer at heart, and I love taking screenshots. Let’s see what kind of photography skills our fellow pilots have got!

Take a great-looking screenshot of anything in EVE; be it a station, sun, planet, formation, ships, and the like. Let’s see what this amazing universe is all about.

Maybe there’s some forgotten corner of EVE that needs to be brought back into the light? Perhaps there is a climactic battle in progress that is worth the front-page news? What about inside the stations and Citadels? Does your ship look pretty in the pale blue light? Show it off and let’s see some awesome screenshots!

Pilots can take screenshots and have them judged for composition, lighting, color, activity, and the like. Of course, the organizers of the reward would be the judges to see what screenshots look pretty and amazing, and of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder – but seeing as how vast this universe is, there must be something out there in some corner of EVE that is worth showing off and will make a judge lose their words over how amazing this game looks.

S

Write a short story about an in-lore character. For example, a reactor technician's experiences on a capsuleer's ship, possibly explaining how capsuleers hire crew, or perhaps a civilian whose life was disrupted by pirates and rescued by a fleet of capsuleers, or possibly a Firbolg pilot in the middle of a nullsec capital brawl.

FirestormGamingTeam's avatar

Hi Hi - These are all designed to exclude AI.

Create an easter theme skin for $10
Create a Summer theme skin for $10

Grab a Corvette and kill the most expensive ship you can (solo or a fleet of them, but it must be Corvettes only on killmail) $20

Get a kill in a Mining Barge for $10
Get a kill in a Venture for $10

(This is coming soon) Create a Pancake Day-themed skin i.e Honey/strawberries/cream colour skin and grapes! $10

Create a recruitment poster for your corporation for $5

Hand draw a silly overpowered ship and explain why it's overpowered for $5

Hand draw a silly module that would break the game and explain why for $5

I have more but this will do for now

I would love to see a career agent for ship building. I know each profession has its own way of building but would love to learn tips and tricks about building how tos.

Hi TylerMelkan, here at Just, our rewards can be for in-game player-led challenges, but we don't have the ability to introduce new in-game features. Check out some of our rewards and feel free to resubmit a different suggestion :)

E

You guys should run survey for ingame reward which would depend on ingame years served (how old is your account). Those rewards would be released on the next eve online anniversary. It would go something like that: 1 year - 1 skill incjector, 3 years - 2 skill incjectors, 5 - 3 skill injectors... etc. Ask people what would be their ideas for that kind of rewards!

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Hey ErsecondPL, we're partnered with CCP but we can't make any in-game changes or offer in-game prizes. Check out our EVE Online rewards for some examples of the sorts of cash-prize competitions we run, and feel free to edit your submission to resubmit:

I think it would be great if there was a contest for the moment when everyone was still a beginner in eve online where their ship was almost destroyed because of gatecamp, NPC pirate ambush, entering wormhole space and so on that could destroy their ship when they were still beginners, and there would definitely be a moment where their ship was destroyed because of other silly things I think that would be great

of course i'm really curious what silly things they did when they were still beginners 🤣

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Hey Kuroonekoo, thanks for sharing the idea. I'm not super clear what the challenge would be. Is it sharing stories about those funny beginners' mistakes?

K

Hello, sorry to confuse you, in short that's what I mean

P

Submit your idea for a unique and exciting reward that engages the community creatively! For example, propose a “Show Us Your Setup” image challenge where users share photos of their gaming or creative spaces with a handwritten sign showing their username and “Just” for verification—entries judged on creativity and personal flair. Or suggest a “One-Minute Masterpiece” video challenge showcasing a unique skill or talent, with visible proof of authorship. You could even pitch a verifiable in-game challenge, like pulling off an impressive stunt or build, with video or screenshot proof. To stand out, go beyond text—think images, videos, or creative tasks that bring the community together in fun, authentic ways!
