We were on the verge of breaking the dread's tank and we almost lost the fight when the dreadnought pilot triggered drifter battleship (the new mechanic is that drifter BS no longer attack the most dangerous ship but randomly any ships on grid). Finally another bomber group landed to add enough DPS to break through the armor reps and secured the kill.
