I'm in the maybe camp. I don't know enough about him to really judge.

I really enjoyed him in Bullet Train. It's from that role that I can see this working, continuing the trend of moving Bond into a grittier and darker character while keeping some of the traditional suaveness.

This is a VERY bad choice IMO, he has never really done anything like this and whilst he is labelled as a "hunk" that's pretty much it, James Bond is suave, and urbane, this gentleman does not really project that.

pretty sure it's Daniel Craig on a preview pic!

I can see it working. He was decent in the bullet train.

I missed that movie, but even from a gif I can kinda see it...

Frankly, didn’t think much of the choice with Daniel Craig because the only thing I’d seen him as was as a “Croft boy” in Tomb Raider, but I was pleasantly surprised. So yeah, never know an actor’s chops till they get the chance.

I wasn't sure of Daniel Craig as a choice but I was happy to see he pulled ut off well so, I'm willing to wait and see.

Agreed - whatever process they've got over there, it's proven to have found the right actor before, whatever the reaction to the announcement
