We're all increasingly accustomed to ultra high-def viewing with colours so pronounced that you can almost taste the rainbow. Let's face it, as a result, watching an old black and white movie can sometimes feel a bit of a chore. At least, that is, until you stumble upon one with such vivid storytelling that you forget about the monochrome completely. For this bounty, we want to know what that movie is for you!
Don't just tell us about the movie, tell us how it made you feel and why you think it stands the tests of time and hue. If you can find the trailer, share that too - ideally from the original rights holder.
Note that we're not looking for modern black and white movies like The Lighthouse. We're after movies from before colour was in widespread use in cinema.
Task: Tell us about your favourite black and white movie, and explain why it hits home
