Ron <3

It makes my heart hurt that Ron was done so dirty in the films (basically all his 'good' traits and lines are given to Hermione and Hermione's 'bad' ones are given to him).

He's such an important friend for Harry, without him he wouldn't have so much support from the Weasley's. I think his selflessness is his most 'heroic' quality - he's always prepared to drop everything and support his friend in the most perilous adventures.

At 11 years old he sacrifices himself in a chess game, which he believes, will kill him... that's got to count for something!

Snape

The guy lived a lie for years to protect Harry. He was constantly protecting him behind the scenes. He even infiltrated Voldermort's inner circle of trust as a spy for the Order of the Phoenix. Literally the saddest personal story of all characters.

but why did he have to pick on Harry through most of his stay in Hogwarts if he knew about James and Lily's plight? I guess it helps during the secret Death Eaters meeting if Snape boasts about docking house points from Gryffindor or putting him down in class

Neville Longbottom

Neville has one of the biggest growths in his time at Hogwarts, The clumsy Neville that started at Hogwarts is far from the courageous Neville that finished Hogwarts. He showed that he had the courage to be a true Gryffindor. I think it's the type of thing we should all aspire to achieve.

Hard agree with this one. Like in first year when poor Neville knows what the Potter Trio were up to and prevented them from leaving the common room after dark only to be hit by Petrificus Totalus by Hermione. To stand up against your friends and fellow house-men? takes a lot of courage

Dobby

Dobby was the true hero. He came from a life of servitude. Dobby didn't always get things right but he did everything with the truest of conviction.

• He saved Harry, Ron and Hermoine.

• He befriended the friendless.

• He took care of those in need.

if I’m being honest I’m not a fan of Harry Potter, Dobby changed my mind.

HAGRID

Literally discriminated against his whole life for being a half giant. But doesnt rise to the insults. Stands up for other creatures that may be misunderstood beings.

His loyalty to ron harry and Hermione. He risks his life multiple times for them. He stands up for the innocent to people more powerful than him.

Modest and humble in the way he lives.

He cares for animals and doesnt shy away from menial tasks

good at keeping secrets till the right moment

Bartemius Crouch jr. as Moody.

Beside the fact that he needs to push Harry through the tournament to get killed in the name of, “Du weißt schon wer”.

I like how he secretly helps Harry through others to get through every challenge. And Harry looks actually like a passable wizard by going through these challenges very well. From this perspective the Teaching from  Bartemius Crouch jr. as Alastor Moody is exactly that what Harry and Ron always wanted. How to really fight the dark magic back.

Maybe it's little bit crazy to transform itself into somebody but hey at least Harry learned something :P

Bartemius Crouch jr. himself is meh... xD

Molly Weasley (Harry's unofficial Mom) This could also go to Arthur but I think with Molly's portrayal she honestly gives Harry some of the most unconditional love a mom could give. Knitting him a sweater for Christmas (as she does with all of her sons), buying him his first dress robe (in the same colour as his eyes), and the countless times she hosts Harry throughout summer and holidays at The Burrow.

For me, it's Luna Lovegood displays. She courageously remains true to herself and her beliefs, inspiring others to embrace their quirks and differences.

She is also supportive and inspirational ally. She actively participates in significant battles against dark forces revealing true heroism.

I think she deserved own TV series or a game!

Definetely a last minute GOAT. Wish we got a little more of her earlier in the series. She balances that likeable odd-ball character that you want to see more of

Dobby

This tiny house-elf from the "Harry Potter" series, shows his big heart, courage, and self-sacrifice.

Dobby bravely seeks Harry Potter to warn him about danger. His desire for elf rights and his fight for freedom showcases his deep sense of justice and empathy. His final act of protection, dying to secure their escape, marks him as a true hero who values others' freedom and safety above his own life.

he also goes crazy for a sock as well

it might be a bit generic for me to say, but I would definitely say that Snape was the underrated hero. he did what he called to try and help and save Harry as much as he could but obviously with the way it panned out he just couldn’t at the end. The whole state is just so injustice because you could really do a deep diving to sort of everything that he went through through it could be a whole of a book and a whole of her movie to really help and really tell Story but yeah, I definitely feel like Snape was the underrated hero

The Weasley Twins:

IMO they are the ones who helped Harry overcome a lot of what he was struggling with, they kept him sane when he wasn't allowed to Hogsmede, giving him the marauder's map, this map was then used by Harry, constantly throughout the books to help him out of so many jams and potential mistakes.

They are the un-sung heroes of Harry Potter's adventures IMO
