The above picture shows three characters from the Manga Series One Piece
(L-R, Trafalgar Law, Monkey D Luffy, Eustass Kid) in their post-time skip appearance.

They've changed outfits since their first appearance and for Law and Luffy they don these long billowing coats that they wear as capes. In the Wano Arc, Luffy makes an intentional decision to start wearing this black coat as he understands his position not only as a Captain but as a fleet captain for an alliance he makes.

Theory: Luffy takes on this cape because it mimics the cape Shanks wears. And Law wears his coat because its similar to Rosinante.

This re-design that doesn't change the lore or outcome of the series but I thought it was a very cute call back to their heroes/ mentors. Similar how the Straw Hat has been passed down from Roger, these articles of clothing give reference to the lineage and connections made from Pirate to Pirate.

This is a very niche fan theory, which I might be the only one who’s even thought about it honestly. In the musical Hairspray, Corny Collins and ‘Motormouth’ Maybelle Stubbs are two of the secondary characters who I truly believe had a secret relationship throughout the plot of the show. One which had to be hidden due to the backdrop of the musical itself, with them being of different races in the 1960s. Maybe one day an adaptation of the musical might give me some crumbs towards this, but until then, a brief shot of them dancing together in the movie is what I will fuel this with 😂

Ahhh man you suggested my favourite one!!! but i will expand on it anyway.

Darth Jar Jar

Jar Jar Binks, the clumsy Gungan is secretly a Sith aprentice hiding in plain sight pretending to be stupid.

His Clumsiness is clearly an Act:

Jar Jar’s clumsiness borders on being absolutely ridiculous. It’s the perfect cover for a Sith apprentice infiltrating the Republic.

Qui-Gon Jinn dismissed him as unintelligent, and Obi-Wan Kenobi called him a pathetic life form. His over-the-top clumsiness is a great alibi

Palpatine himself cloaked his true nature while operating under the Jedi Order’s noses.

Palpatine’s Orchestration:

Palpatine meticulously orchestrated events leading to Anakin Skywalker’s discovery and eventual fall to the dark side. Was Jar Jar the eyes and ears on Naboo, Palpatine’s homeworld? Did he intentionally get close to the Chosen One?

Goofy Movements reveal his Hidden Force Skills:

Jar Jar’s acrobatics resemble those of Force users. He miraculously dodges death multiple times, often during near-death experiences. Perhaps his goofiness conceals Force sensitivity.

Political Influence:

Jar Jar’s rise from an outcast to a key political figure is suspicious. He proposes giving emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine in Attack of the Clones, which ultimately leads to the creation of the Galactic Empire. Was this accidental, or did he play a deliberate role?

I was really hoping he was Snoke or the mastermind behind Snoke.

I thought Snoke was this old lady

They certainly both go to the same tailor

I loved that theory. I believe there is a comic or fan made comic of if this was true.

I love this one. It makes so much sense, and given what kind of plots Palpatine was capable of as we learnt from the books, this is totally believable.

Naruto Joins the Akatsuki (Turns out it Hoax lmaoo)

i mean, it could be cool if he joined to akatsuki well, its a HUGE hoax on the country (its a cool fanart tho) YET i'm still laughing if this turned be true lmaooo

OR "breaking news - Sakura is very useful!"

Makster's avatar

I hate they made Sakura like the muscley/ taijutsu member of the team. Like Rock Lee trains super hard because he can't do any ninja magic and yet Sakura and probably out punch/ kick him just because she can utilise her chakra in that way

I swear they only made Sasuke an Akatsuki member just to put him in the cool coat

Attack on Titan.

One of the most compelling fan theories (which I believe) is that Eren Yeager is actually the series ultimate villain. This sort of theory really twist the story in a creative and but also adds loads of dept to Erens character.

But why?

Over the course of the series we see Erens character shift from that freedom trigger seeking hero to someone who was actually willing to commit atrocities to achieve his goals. It suggests that he might be more villainous than initially thought. His actions (esp in the later parts of the series) become more ruthless and mean.

With the Rumbling, Erens plan alights with the idea of a villain’s catastrophic goal. His willingness to go to extremes shows a disregard for human life which is a key trait of a villain.

Eren also manipulates both friends and foes to help achieve his goals, it shows how cunning he is, it really pushing the narrative that he could be a villain.

Pokemon: Ash is in a Coma

The theory suggests that after Pikachu's electric shock in the first episode, Ash falls into a coma, and everything that happens in the series is a part of his dream.

This explains why Ash never ages despite the series spanning over 2 decades and why the world around him remains relatively static and fantastical. The theory also posits that the surreal adventures and characters he encounters are manifestations of his subconscious, reflecting his desires and fears as he remains in a coma. This would provide a completely new meaning to Ash's journey.

Fanart from a theory's page

I've heard this about Adventure Time too. There's a heart-breaking piece of fan art with Finn in a coma with a decidedly less stretchy Jake sitting loyally at his bedside 💔

I sense Sword Art Online influence lol

The Shining and the Moon Landing Scam Theory

One fan theory I love is that The Shining is Stanley Kubrick's hidden confession about faking the moon landing. Fans point to clues like Danny's Apollo 11 sweater and the repeated number 237 (the distance from Earth to the moon in thousands of miles).

If this were true, for me personaly, it wouldn't just be about exposing a scam. Instead, it could inspire a new race, marking a renaissance era in space travel!

I picked up this story here: https://entertainment.ie/movies/movie-news/stanley-kubrick-moon-landing-conspiracy-theory-410212/

Mine is for Stargate, so we all know the series

SG1
SGA
SGU

However one the most annoying things about the series was there was very little work put into actual languages, in terms of the new world "everyone spoke English" - So I went to Reddit and asked, is this a reason as to why?

One of the theories we came up with, was that the gate system itself stores the language of the world in its buffer system, so when SG Teams, step through the gate, the language of the planet they visit is automatically implanted into their heads but translates it into English.

So person A from the planet is speaking their language and SG teams speak English but the gate system has a planet-wide translator so everyone can speak in their language but translates to the stranger's language upon speaking.

So when the team visited P2S-4C3 - Everyone on that planet spoke Kelownan, but the gate translated the language to English for the SG team's arrival, so it becomes like a universal universe translator?

Anyway, this is my fav theory about Stargate.

One of my favourite fan theories is that the Pokémon is set in a post war era, this theory is supported by Lt Surge and his references to electric Pokémon helping during the war and the fact there's little male characters of a certain age range and mainly older male characters and women in the first games which would fit better in that demographic of who would and wouldn't be sent to war.

JB

One of the cleverest theories in my mind is that of the Mad Max series.

The lead character changes somewhat in each movie and the setting itself is different each time we visit this wasteland.

What the theory suggests is that all of these stories are actually of the same single event, seen through the eyes of different people. Max is not a different character each time but the story is a legend that may be passed on between friends, families and generations, changing subtly each time.
