It's quite funny really

I think console days are numbered, more and more people are turning to PC Gaming, rather than buying consoles, I am building more and more Gaming PCs for clients' kids, kids wanting off consoles on PCs, access to mods etc.

Be interesting to see where we are in the next 5 yrs

Xbox specifically has this issue because of PC gamepass. I haven’t had an Xbox since the One, but I play all the XB games I want on my PC lol

Agree - I think the unique factors that consoles had over PCs are slow dwindling.

  • Exclusives are being ported to PC (often years later),

  • mods from the community being a massive perk for PC players

  • an amazing PC client+ marketplace being Steam,

  • free access to online play (excluding MMOs)

  • consumers moving towards streaming rather than physical media (DVDs, Blu-Rays etc.) so they don't require these in the console

  • Smart TVs having access to the entertainment products like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify etc so you don't need to go through the console as the entertainment hub

I can only really see couch Co-Op being a major reason for having a PC but with COVID I think people have just seen the benefit of having a single screen each. I think of public spaces such as store fronts like GAME and them having a gaming area. Even if it is more cost effective to have consoles that can occupy up to 4 players at a time, they still opt to take up the majority of their floor space with PCs because it is becoming the preferred platform for play

Is this why the new Fable hasn't come out and I have heard nothing new about it in a while?
