As if Sony having the bad press with Hell Divers wasnt enough Xbox steps in and says "hold my Beer"...

Xbox is shutting down the studio who released Hi-Fi Rush, The Evil Within, and Ghostwire Tokyo. They are closing Redfall developer Arkane Austin, Hi-Fi Rush studio Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Studios & Roundhouse Games.

And Perfectly timed Microsoft asks Xbox gamers to "Feel the Burn Today" with yet another special edition Xbox controller on the same day it shuts Xbox studios... wtf?

Xbox seems all over the shop these days, this might be cynical but I feel they are cutting fat everywhere and pushing all games to PS5 to make money back after the huge purchase of Activision for $70 Billion... Such a shame...

Take me back to the 360 days when Xbox had tons of great games of every variety and were an edgy cool console (minus the RROD) but now they just seem like a jack of all trades master of none with them jettisoning their exclusives etc..... TBH I pretty much exclusively play backwards compatible games on my Xbox these days!

I really want Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo to ALL be strong and firing on all cylinders as that the best for us gamers. Looks like they will be cutting back on new innovative games (thank for for indie devs) and will be accelerating work on Fallout due to the success of the TV show and Call Of Duty etc....

Whats everyone’s hot take on whats going on at Xbox? Happy with how its going? Need a change of leadership? Not surprised as its Microsoft which is all about the money? End of Xbox hardware in the near future? Xbox going full 3rd party and just focusing on games?

Xbox has shut down more studios than released games this year.
