Yeah I’m not feeling this is a good move, kind of feels like desperation to fire some life back into the marvel franchise which has been falling apart lately, would have been cool to see them cast someone new, seems like they are just going back to the well and I doubt they will ever reach the peaks of the infinity saga or not at least by bringing originals back, to me he’s iron man. Maybe there is some multiverse swerve in this tho where he’s only Doom for a small part and there’s actually another Doom who will get all the airtime.. I could live with that!
Yeah it does signify that they're desperate for a win and are trying to pay for a safe bet. Similar to Disney's output in the last decade of 'live-action' movies of their beloved movies during the golden age.
I'm sure RDJ is going to kill it in the role and I'm ready for a subversion i.e. RDJ being a version of Doom with another version of Doom being primed for a F4 movie
I wonder if they'll try to make him look different. It'd be a shame if he was a palette-swapped Iron Man gone bad!
