You can't really 'control' your build in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die (though you can lean into the game's randomness to make an effective build - click here if you'd like to write a guide on that). Sure, you get one alternate card per stage, and each relic chest offers three options, but you can't just choose the card and relics you want. That wouldn't be random.
