Music is organised sound, to give the definition my school teacher once did, which means legitimate musical instruments are essentially infinite in number. Humans have come up with all sorts of amazing ways to produce sounds in an organisable way, and we want to know the most amazing.
Tell us about an obscure musical instrument you know and love; tell us how it works, who came up with it and why, and anything else you'd like to share, and include a picture (that's mandatory)! For bonus points, add a link to a song that makes good use of your chosen instrument.
The eight best submissions get $4 apiece.
Task: Tell us about an obscure musical instrument and show us a picture
