Have Spotify, and/or music streaming services in general, been a good or a bad thing overall for music?
It's a complicated question with many facets. What impact has streaming had on the people involved in bringing music to your ears - the platform holders, the record labels, and of course the artists themselves? What impact has it had on music fans like us - music is more accessible than ever, but how has that affected our appreciation of it, and the ways we listen to it? And perhaps most importantly, is the music itself any better?
Feel free to tackle one, several, or all of these facets in a written or video answer. As you can see this one's a bit of a thinker, so we're looking for lengthy, effortful answers of at least 100 words. Eight of the best such answers get $5 apiece.
