Have you ever met an artist post-show or bumped into them on the street? Tell me the story below!
I've been fortunate to meet a few artists post-show such as Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and Last Dinosaurs but my favourite encounter was Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Soundtrack). They performed in two cities close to me so I was able to attend both. Their first gig - I got there pretty early so I was hanging around in the beer garden. The lead guitarist (Peter) came through with Pizzas (obvs) and I stopped him hoping to get my vinyl signed and a picture. He was a little pre-occupied because of the Pizzas but said he'll see if he has time afterwards. It wasn't 10 minutes later that he popped back up to do so! After the show, the band also hung out on the side of the stage for autographs and pictures.
At the second show, I went with a colleague and again we got there a little early. On the street I bumped into Peter again! We exchanged a few words and I wished him luck for the show. The funniest part is my colleague thought he was just one of my friends and NOT the performer we were about to see.
