Well, not the tallest but at least I can go up to the top and look down at my neighbour :D

Originally I tried to build a stone tower just from the stone foundation blocks and build wooden stairs around it... without underpinning them, so had no idea why I couldn't place the stairs where I wanted to XD

Then my partner came home and explained the basic of construction... I didn't want to demolish the whole thing so just started to make use of what I already had while still having an actual house, so built the living and crafting space at the bottom and started to build the wooden structure around my stone tower.

Not very high, but this is all I had time for.

Some pictures from the early stages when I had no idea what I was doing XD

Ok, it was a wonderful challenge and a learning curve, thanks to JA! I've built not one, not two, but three towers! So let's begin, Dear diary...

Day 1

After finishing the tutorial, I jumped right into a construction project as soon as I got an axe and a pick (in hindsight, this was a big mistake, but oh well). Once I got the hang of the placement mechanics, I decided my tower would be a 3x3 structure made from beautiful stone walls.

Update: Later that Day...

I've hit a snag - not all rocks are mineable, and the material seems limited. After building three floors, I switched to using wood walls due to resource constraints.

Second Update: Still Day 1...

Building the 5th floor was exhausting, especially with a carrying capacity limit of 50kg. I also broke my leg twice due to falls. Running around in underwear to carry 3 extra planks - now that's efficiency with style!

Day 2

Big news - I discovered I can craft a backpack that doubles my carrying capacity!

Update: Later on Day 2...

I found a companion named Nell, who helps chop trees and seems to have unlimited carrying capacity! This will definitely speed up my project.

Another Update: Evening of Day 2...

We've run out of trees within a 400-meter radius. Chopping trunks is hard work, and Nell isn't much help with this task.

Day 3

Today I encountered a creature named Carnut who can regenerate forests. I lured him to my site, and voilà - more trees!

Update: Day 3...

I'm on the 33rd floor and just hit the game's limit of 300 objects per foundation. Time for some rest.

Day 4

With the object limit in mind, I redesigned the tower to use 78% fewer materials per floor. This means I can aim for 75-80 floors. I've started a new tower and kept the original as a monument to my efforts.

Another Update: Day 4...

My companion refuses to follow me up the tower or help with materials, leaving me to handle the construction alone.

Final Update: Day 4...

I hit an invisible wall at the 42nd floor. On the bright side, I'm only at 145 out of 300 construction limits, so I decided to build a penthouse at the top.

Day 5

I discovered the Estate Cairn - a teleporter! I placed one in my penthouse, making the climb up much easier. I've also moved my workshop up there.

Night of Day 5...

A realization hit me - my towers, built on a hill, aren't the tallest structures in the world. Tomorrow, I start building the third tower at sea level.

My two towers are visible from any part of the island.

Day 6

After a bit of exploration, I discovered the lowest point in the realm is at sea level. Without hesitation, I set a foundation there and began my ascent.

A few moments later I accidentally discovered a method to move absurdly large volumes of materials, even upward (and yes, I'm still miffed at you, Nell!). To demonstrate, I've included a small video here.

Upon reaching the 'sky cap', I tallied a staggering 52.5 floors - the 53rd is so tight I can only crouch. Proudly, I can now claim to have built the tallest structure in the Nightingale realms! Not stopping there, I connected all three towers with a sky bridge and laid the foundation for what I envision as a future sky castle.

A sea tower and connection to the base

It's been quite a journey, but it's time to shift gears and explore more of what this realm has to offer.

Oh, here is a video of my Tower of Insolence Ta-ta!

Build limit of 300 pieces reached. I had to remove walls all over the place to gain back more pieces for more height. There might be a better design that lets you go higher and use less pieces per floor someone might find.
