I love my UFC and this is one of the biggest come from behind wins I can Remeber watching! Now I am a huge Anderson Silva fan so I was watching this with horror as my favourite fighter was getting beat down for 5 full championship rounds, then in the last minute he does the incredible…. You can watch for yourself but I was go smacked and jumping about like a loon! More importantly it was a great lesson in life to never get up, he was a minute away from losing his title, he stayed calm and then pounced when the opportunity presented itself! 👊 also I might add this was so shocking as Anderson had went though most other opponents like a hot knife though butter so I really couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Just google his highlights reel and you will see what I mean!

I am absolutely not a Liverpool fan and It pains me to say it but Liverpool's champions league final comeback win over AC Milan in 2005 was a pretty incredible sporting moment to watch.

3-0 down at halftime and seemingly aiming for damage control and for pride preservation, they managed bang in 3 goals in the space of a few minutes after the interval, pushing the game into extra time and penalties.

Some of my family are avid Liverpool fans and I remember the euphoria of the penalty shootout win well

My buddy and I are massive WindJammers fans. Ever since it was re-released on PS4 we used to do bi-monthly hangouts either online or in person and Jam out a few rounds. Always on the beach stage but different characters.

Having the game a little longer than him, I was the reigning champ however there are times the crown starts to slip and this is the case. I was only able to capture the last few moments of our game. I'm P1 and he is P2.

I'll let the video do the rest of the talking

EDIT: According to the Mod-Man gotta bring it back to the real world sports so gotta dig one out of the memory vaults during my varsity Fencing days.

When you fence in a team you have cumulative points. So although your first game can be 3-5 to the opponents. The next game, your team can score 7 points to end that match at 10-6. So there is strategy off the piste depending on your line up and trying to give the newer fencers some experience in a varsity game.

We were short in terms of fencers so many of us had to double up on weapons. Against our rivals Essex we were lagging pretty far behind, 77-87 (the matches usually totalled 90 points so Essex only needed 3 touches to win compared to our 13 points). Our next fencer needed to win the equivalent of 2 whole games to even equalise in the 3 minutes of play. Thankfully we had our ringer to play. He was our captain that lead us through many away games, keeping our spirits up with Powerade, and advice. Each point he scored we cheered supportively but it was a really tall hill to climb. In the last minute it was 85-89 so he already showed tremendous effort to pull it back but alas it was just one touch to win for the opponents. But then something changed, he switched up his style to a more provocative style where he was defensive rather than aggressive throwing the opponent off and the mad man's gamble paid off 90-89!!!

The amount of free drinks our cap got at the pub that night probably made him late for lecture the next day haha

Hey Makster! This is a pretty good comeback, but we are looking for actual sports in this bounty I'm afraid, rather than video games. Feel free to edit your submission (or delete and repost) with a sporting comeback to be eligible, but we won't be able to award a friendly Windjammers game between friends, even if that victory must have felt sweet!

Maybe in a couple more years eSports will be recognised as a sport but wilco!

Another cycling submission from me, and again Giro d'Italia!

2018 stage 19, i found this relatively short video to show Froome's victory after nearly 80km of solo pure mountain performance to secure the top position. Noone expected such comeback from him, unbelievable how he managed to keep this pace till the finish line

It has to be Manchester United's 1999 Champions League win against Bayern Munich - the 90 minutes were up with 3 minutes of injury time to be played Bayern were winning 1-0 but Manchester managed to fight back to win 2-1 in the last few minutes so seal the win for the trophy.

Luckily I know there's a bit of an Arsenal contingent here on JA so hopefully we don't see too many of the comebacks we were on the receiving end of (Anderlecht on my birthday, I see you!) but I remember listening on the radio to Chelsea vs Arsenal in 1999 and experiencing what felt like the impossible.

2-0 down after 52 minutes courtesy of Flo and Petrescu for Chelsea on a day pouring with rain it wasn't looking too rosy for us, so we look to the bench and bring on Henry and Vivas but it was the man with the size 15 boots, Kanu, who started the match who would be the saviour.

With 75 minutes on the clock, Overmars struck a very speculative effort only for Kanu to stick out one of those giant boots to get a touch to stop the ball before firing it into De Goey's bottom corner. Game on.

Then in the 83rd minute it was Overmars again turning provider, this time with a cross meant for Kanu, who's first touch may have looked clumsy but took the ball away from the defence before firing in a shot at the near post to get us back on level terms.

You'd think after being 2-0 down and getting back to 2-2 in the 83rd minute we'd take a draw but Kanu had other ideas.

Into the 90th minute I remember vividly the commentator getting more and more excited as Kanu chased down Ferrer and the ball broke for the Arsenal man, for some reason De Goey decided now would be a good time to rush out of his box right on the dead ball line, Kanu again somewhat clumsily knocked the ball past the keeper, before unleashing a shot from an impossible angle, curling it over the top of not only Desailly but Lebouef as well into the far corner to give us all three points and the glorious headline of "Kanu believe it".

He may not have looked the most graceful of footballers but the man had so much skill and to pull that result from the brink, against a Chelsea side yet to concede at Stamford Bridge that season is up there with some of the best comebacks I've seen.

best sporting combat. I don’t know if wrestling would count as a sport I would say it does but there is a wrestler called Daniel Bryan he basically got told he was never gonna wrestle again and every health thing ever basically said you know it was never gonna be able to wrestle wouldn’t get cleared and people were really got it about him and then he made a comeback like years later and people were ecstatic and over the moon to see rattle again because they never thought they would see him quite a few stories like wrestling where they got told we need to retire they never gonna be able to wrestle again the crew injury that they’ve got it’s just too much it’s the risk is just so high for it to be worse scenario so it’s really nice to see stories very similar stories
