So, my routine

We go in, go to the changing rooms, dump our bags and lock them up, then head into the gym

  1. 15 minutes walking on the treadmill

  2. 10 minutes jogging on the treadmill

  3. Then onto the "walking" machine, not sure what it is called but I don't come off till I've burned about 500 kals

  4. Then it's weights, sets of 8, 4 sets, I start on 10's and add 2.5 for the second set, then 5 for the third and then another 2.5 for the 4th

  5. Then it's free weights, 40 In total, 20 on each arm, the weight of 15

  6. Rowing machine, rowing one thousand meters

  7. Then back onto the treadmill for another 15 minute wall uphill mode then jogging for 20 minutes

Burns about 2000 calories in total, and my weight is 15 stone, well close to 15, so I'm not trying to get buffed, just pull my stomach in, I've cut back on the amount I drink as well and smoking Iv'e cut back as well.

Great question! I go to the gym along with running and my main sport which is kayaking. Typically I go to the gym 5 times a week with the following split.

Push

Pull

Push

Legs

Pull

Slightly unconventional order, I know. The reasoning behind it is that my kayak training is on fixed days as it's done with my club, so I have to run on the days I don't paddle and I don't want to train legs on the same day I run, so I've had to shuffle things around a bit!

I used to go to the gym a lotat one point but eventually i just didnt feel like it was for me - Imuch prefer doing workouts at home and going on walks now. My go to is the RingFit on the switch, you really get your cardio up taking part in those challenges and the game play is pretty good. I know VR Boxing is really good at making you sweat and workout too.
