I believe AI will continue to progress. It’s made such huge leaps in the last year or so, it’s scary! But I believe strongly that this will only advance even further. Things like Chat GPT and being able to create fake AI images and videos based upon real people will only become more and more realistic and hard to distinguish from the real thing.

I have one thing in my mind about Tech Predictions of 2025.

There will be more Companies that build their own Robots, Doesn't matter what it is used for, like Vacuum Cleaner Robot, or even Tesla is the most wonderful AI Robot for now.

And maybe soon, they will have a House that processed and controlled by AI, and we can change the walls or even the furnitures by just a command voice.

In 2025, I predict that wireless charging will finally go mainstream, making cables almost unnecessary. I’ll be able to charge my phone, laptop, and even my electric car just by being near a power source—no plugs or pads needed. Homes, offices, and public spaces will have built-in wireless charging, so I won’t have to worry about my battery running low. This technology will make life more convenient and free me from constantly hunting for outlets.

The growning popularity of AI is admirable because how easy it can make our lives, specially in some aspects of work in general. Despite its polemics it can help in some corrections, in orthographic corrections it already make some great works, but in some complex works it still need some improving, and one of those things that I'm following is about Architecture drawings, and it can help with corrections of some graphical representation.

Already exist similar tools but yet in tests but none of them make a full correction, and a tool that show us some wrong representation, some kind of like, of hatch, or something that make labels automatically is close to become reality and make all this included in a new or existing tool will make my life as an architect, as well for other architects and civil engineer. So I believe that some famous softwares like Revit, AutoCad, Archicad, will be implementing some AIs in 2025, and of course I will be using this".

This would be an interesting use of AI! I used to do a lot of 3D printing and I'd spend so much time fighting with Cura and Solidworks...I was always afraid of messages about unclosed vertices 😱

The mesh repair tools always fused vertices that should remain separate, leading to weird dents and textures on the final 3d printed model!

Sinclair's avatar

AI this AI that, the things are not for me tbh
BUT im sure that Replaceable component on things are WILL Comeback from this year! Since we backed up with EU Regulations about Right to Repair things, we should be more embracing the most traditional tech things that people want.
Like the Framework Laptop, they're awesome! the modular things are so rare today, its like company are so afraid when people can just "adjust" their old devices and not buying the newest ones. MODULAR things are not a SIN btw :)))

I'm not sure if this meant as a "use your imagination" bounty or if it includes actual developments that are already being researched.

As for real things that I know of, I am sure that the research in recycling CO₂ will continue and maybe we can expect a prototype for an industrial methanation facility during this year. It would allow us to absorb the CO₂ produced by large industrial complexes by turning it into methane which can be reused as fuel. While this does not resolve the basic problem of combustion related industry, it could mean an important step towards a cleaner environment in those sections of our industry that cannot rely on other "green" sources.

Technological predictions for 2025, it is really difficult to predict exactly what this year and the future holds for us, but it is likely that we will see greater advances in areas such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence. I think it will continue to improve, allowing more personalized, efficient and more precise solutions for certain activities, it is very exciting to know how much it will advance and help us in our daily activities! but at the same time I also feel that it will be worrying in matters of work tasks, in some areas people already prefer to turn to AI than hire a person for some activity, but that does not mean that it is still incredible that more things can be created and advanced the AI, Hopefully we can help each other more in the medical area to find cures for certain diseases and better treatments.

(Sorry if you don't understand what I mean, I'm using a translator)

I've noticed in the comments that the most talked about topic is the evolution of AI in our environment. And I can't go the other way hahaha, but in an attempt to bring you different content, I'm going to talk about the use of AI in the world of animation.

In 2024 several animation projects such as Japanese anime announced that they had used AI in extremely specific scenarios or designs, which generated a whole mixed repercussion on the subject.

By 2025, I truly believe that 100% or almost 100% animations made by Artificial Intelligence will be released. The evolution of this technology is so exponentially absurd that this is very possible. We can already see it today (I'm talking about January 2025). Videos several minutes long with unbelievable quality, and many of them from cheap or even free platforms! What we haven't yet seen from expensive platforms or those that only animation studios have access to is unimaginable.

I believe that the future promises joint work between animators and AI, which will enable phenomenal animation techniques, but by 2025 some animations will already scare us by being made almost entirely by AI, believe me!

U

I think there will be a big Leap in Ai synthetics as their capabilities are showing with Tesla already last year .They just need to iron out some bits for this to work properly behind the scenes with coding and making them more lifelike I would love to see these towards the end of the year!

A airplane that is fuel efficient enough to work as a taxi, maybe more comfort? It's already hard for astronauts to share such a small space and something bigger better and made for comfort would make space travel a thing in the far future, who knows? Maybe we'll find some dinosaur fuel that will make it a thing

Technology increasingly developing from time to time I assume the Nanotechnology will announced at min 2025 and it will launced at 2026. this is very helpful in the health sector especially, Nanotechnology can help operations down to very small particle so that in future we can cure any disease, so we don't need to worry about not being able to recover even though it's a dangerous disease

Given the great advances in AI in recent months, I believe that we will soon see improvements in the healthcare sector. If some of the largest hospitals are already using robotics for interventions, I believe we are heading towards precise automation for even more important interventions. Even simple hospital check-ups, such as eye exams with blood pressure measurement, degree of vision, etc., could be simply evaluated with glasses with AI, which adapt based on the decrease in vision or what you are looking at. So if, for example, you have poor vision up close and far away, based on what you are looking at, you can adapt automatically and facilitate small daily training sessions to improve your vision.

GoJapan's avatar

When I was in Japan I saw some with the visor, so, considering that technology is making great strides in recent years, I hope to see this year a project similar to the defunct Google Glass, which will allow me to wear simple glasses, similar to prescription ones, and to have augmented reality within reach of the eyes, especially useful when traveling in Japan, perhaps being able to translate texts on the fly, give directions and things of this type.

For this year's longshot prediction, I am predicting that Microsoft Teams evolves from being an application to becoming an entire platform. I look for Teams to become far more extensible than what we have seen thus far. I wouldn't even be surprised to see Microsoft embed low code or no code automation tools into Teams.

In my opinion, 2025, but more generally in the next 1-2 years, the constant need for the use of memory space will have to make a technological leap. Evaluating the development of artificial intelligence in the civil and domestic sector, in particular, managements functions and, on the other hand, the appear of more and even more news in the field of quantum technological discoveries, I believe that we will see an increasing increase in efficiency in terms of the volume of storage capacity and in term of the reduction of component overheating. this in the first place, from my point of view, will involve cloud service technology, which will probably lead to having many competitors and more and more paid services that offer the possibility of using huge amounts of virtual space, so much so as to, potentially, make hardware devices completely useless.

I'm tired of predictions about AI (I am firmly in the team "the bubble will finally burst and genAI will burn to the ground and we will all dance and drink".) so let's find another subject, here's my prediction:

The EU will make audio port mandatory for smartphone, just like they made the charger port USB-C mandatory.

Airpods are an ecological disaster, they're easy to lose, easy to break, and even if everything goes well they have a ridiculously short lifespan. in the rare occasions where they don't end up in landfills, or worse in nature, they are hard to deconstruct and full of polluting material because of the small batteries. While the EU can't forbid industries to make those products, it can at least rule in favor of new productions standard, and a mandatory audio port would greatly reduce the pressure on consumers to buy and use those airpods.

dianthus's avatar

I think it's interesting to see so many people thinking AI will take an even more important part in our life. For myself, I think the AI bubble is about to burst, just like crypto and NFT before it.

To give you a non-AI prediction: more and more industries will abandon touchscreens, to go back to letting users press buttons. This is already happening in cars, and I would love to see it expand to other areas such as watches or phones. Using a smartphone's touchscreen every day is damaging for your hands and nerves, after all. (Ask me how I know...)

Dave's avatar

Touch screens should never have been allowed in cars. Real buttons you can feel without looking should be mandatory.

dianthus's avatar

Oh absolutely!! It's just public hazard! It's so dangerous! The image of my elderly father comes to mind, this is someone who can still drive just fine, but who cannot really handle touchscreens. He can barely handle his smartphone in a non life or death situation... Anyway, yes. I'm so glad the EU tightened the screw on this.

Let's talk about a company that I worked on herein Brazil. The biotech Hilab!

Hilab is a Brazilian startup that is revolutionizing the healthcare sector with its technological innovations. Founded in 2017 in Curitiba, Hilab is a shining example of how technology can democratize access to clinical exams and improve people's quality of life.

Today, the company stands out for its portable laboratory, which performs up to 40 blood tests with just a drop of blood, making the process less invasive and faster.

Among Hilab's many advancements, I would like to highlight the Hilab Lens. This revolutionary device allows for a complete blood count through digital puncture, within just 30 minutes. Using artificial intelligence, the Hilab Lens analyzes the results and sends the data directly to doctors, significantly reducing the waiting time between diagnosis and treatment.

Hilab's speed of delivering test results is another notable feature. Within up to 30 minutes, the results are sent by email or app, allowing for quick and effective medical decisions. This is especially important in emergency situations and for the comfort of patients who do not have to wait days to receive their results.

The collection through digital puncture is an innovation that makes the blood collection process less painful and more accessible, especially in remote areas and vulnerable communities. This less invasive method represents a great advance in the humanization of medical care.

With its success in Brazil, Hilab is exploring international expansion opportunities. The company has already established partnerships with hospitals and organizations in other countries and is continuously seeking new markets to bring its innovative solutions to a global audience.

Hilab is clearly on the right path to becoming a global reference in the healthcare and technology sector. With its innovations, the company not only transforms the way clinical exams are conducted but also improves the accessibility and quality of medical care.

By the end of 2025, I think AI will feel more natural and useful in our daily lives. Smart assistants will handle more complex tasks, like coordinating schedules or offering personalised advice, with less effort on our part. In healthcare, AI will help doctors diagnose and treat patients faster and more accurately. Electric vehicles will be more common, thanks to better batteries and a more reliable charging network. Wearables will give us more detailed health insights, like tracking glucose levels or advanced fitness stats. AR will finally find its place in gaming, training, and remote work, but it won’t be everywhere yet.

S

I think there will be a huge shift in how social media platforms are distributed. Given TikTok's huge success and the looming ban, other social media platforms will be moving to fill the niche. Also given the current battlespace, improved combat drones and anti-drone weapons will be developed and deployed. The biggest tech shift though will be related to the move from Chinese-dominated tech production to American or American-allied. Current geopolitics show that tensions will only become more sever between the States and China, so most tech companies will be moving production elsewhere. This will result in a lull in innovation, as companies are focusing on re-establishing in a new spot rather than researching new gadgets or features. If a war with China does spark, then military technology will be advance leaps and bounds to meet the threat (Consider that WW2 took us from wooden biplanes to jet fighters, saw the development of atomic energy, the first analog computers (the Norden bombsight), and the first long-range missiles, all in the span of 6-7 years)

As is no secret to anyone, from now on the future is AI. It has already shown itself to be present and very useful to us over the last year, and its tendency is to become more and more present.

I believe there will be an important advance in the concept of collaborative AI. Instead of being used as an individual tool, AI will be able to connect different systems and technologies to solve situations in different sectors more effectively. For example, in the field of health, AI will be able to collaborate with hospitals and health professionals to optimize treatments, scheduling and even emergency services, to further improve the integration of different health services to improve their effectiveness. With medical data management, hospitals and doctors will be able to access complete and up-to-date information quickly and efficiently, so that coordination of care between different professionals and institutions will be more optimized. AI will be able to organize and interpret a large amount of data to ensure that all relevant information about a patient is taken into account in the decision-making process. I think this is very close to us and will be of great relevance in the health services.

P

Wearable tech, AI and the good old home assistants (echo etc).

I hope that we will see intelligent integration of the above to create a good supporting lifestyle supporting tech.

Where your fitness monitoring, your shopping, your cooking, you habbits, movements are monitored and powerful integrations can help you improve your health, your choices and lifestyle.

Where regular appointments you suddenly stop raise little alarms to check you didnt forget, where your appointments can be managed by your assistance cancelling or making appointments as you require.

Pointing out that its the fifth time you've bought 3ltrs of icecream and bought movies on netflix, also your friend hasn't been round for a while...are you ok? Here is a phone line for relationship problem advice...

It might feel intrusive, but I think having that kind of honest data on hand with AI to offer and suggest ways to make little changes will give people a good route to make their lives better.

I know these interations are currently going on, your car knows your driving routines enough to set the likliest nav point for the time you're in the car to where you'd normally go. I would love to predict that the cross platform communications will improve and those walls will start to come down to allow people to gain true understanding of what they do in a day.. and how to make their goals possible.

I welcome our AI overlords...

2025 Will be the great boom of AI

I believe 2025 will be the great boom of AI. Everything has accelerated exponentially and we're now right on that pivotal point where AI is merely being held back by hardware. Seeing the recent developments from AMD, Intel and NVidia, I truly think that we'll make a breakthrough.

One of the more prevalent problems with AI (excluding hardware) is also data sets. With Nvidia and Google training AI on synthetic data sets, AI won't hit data roadblocks. Eventually, with mass trained AI, they'd start making a change to more humanoid interactions for the end user before releasing the first fully operational and experiencing AI. I say experiencing because live-learning/experiences are an important part of what makes us.... well, us. Breaking that barrier blurs the line between human and android.

The presence of AI Assistants in Mental Health

By 2025, we will see a significant advance in the use of artificial intelligence applied to mental health. Especially when associated with new body monitoring technologies, such as watches and now rings, they have the potential to analyze a possible panic attack by associating previously established emotional factors and associating heart rate, etc. Today my watch is already capable of measuring stress. I believe this has enormous potential and will soon be exploited.

AI Home assistants will gain a face!
I think that Alexa/Google Assistant will gain a face for our home use to bring more personality to a home. A smart home will become more of a thing with an assistant that will brief you on the temperature/humidity/ unusual movement in the home etc.
I think this will be the next step needed for AI to become more accepted into the lives of those that don't already have it in their lives

Shovel's avatar

All right, here's a big tech prediction for 2025... AI assistants are about to get to a whole new level. I'm talking way beyond the usual Alexa or Siri stuff we've been having for years. You know, an AI that doesn't just set timers or tell you the weather but knows you. Like, it learns your habits, suggests what to cook based on what's in your fridge, or even lines up TV shows based on your mood. Sounds a bit creepy, but that's where it's going.

Companies like Google and Apple probably salivate at it and put those AI assistants at the centre of their ecosystems. Imagine this being some kind of "life OS," which links your phone, your watch, your home, and maybe even your car. It will predict what you need before you realise you need it, amazing and slightly terrifying at the same time.

Of course, the big question is going to be over privacy. They are going to need access to data to work people are going to need real reassurance that their info isn't being sold off to the highest bidder. But if they get it right, I think that by the end of 2025, having a personalised AI assistant will go from being a cool extra to something we all feel we need. We'll see if I'm right!

avrona's avatar

We're gonna see a steep decline in how much companies talk about AI, at least to the average consumer. In enterprise, I think it will still be going strong, but at least in terms of consumer products it won't be as in your face as it is right now, as I think the market clearly shown that most people don't care about AI gimmicks in most of their products, and it's just yet another marketing buzzword, like "gaming" or "smart".

FirestormGamingTeam's avatar

So my tech prediction for this year

The console market is going to crash.

IMO the current cost of consoles such as the Xbox & PS5 reaching upwards of £600, is causing more and more parents to switch their kids to PC Gaming and the kids themselves are getting tired of the parents not being able to afford the new "go-to stuff" - Now how do I know this? I have had a rise in clients myself, whose children were console gamers, contacting me, asking for budget-built gaming PCs due to the inability to continue to buy and upgrade consoles for their children.

I think this year, is going to have to be the year that Microsoft or Sony (being the two main players) need to decide whether profit, is going to outweigh a potential crash within the console industry. Parents can't keep up with the rising cost of consoles and then less than a year later the "pro version" costs just as much as the original, if not more.

I think that in 2025, brain-computer interface (BCI) technology will undergo a major development. There could be chips implanted in the brain, enabling telepathic-like direct communication. This technology could allow us to exchange thoughts and messages without using words, completely changing the way humans communicate. Although still in its infancy, innovations like this have the potential to open up new opportunities in bridging language barriers and creating a completely different way of interacting.

Thank You :)

L

I think that Quantum Computing will have a more extended use. Maybe not in day to day activities yet, but it will be use in very specifical fields: medical investigation, optimisation of logistic procedures or cibersecurity. Still with a very high initial cost that the results will compensate and they will be use as tests for future implementations in another fields.

Y0EMINENCE's avatar

In 2025, AI will be like your personal helper, doing stuff like managing your money or organizing your day without you telling it what to do. It'll be like having a super smart robot friend. Also, there'll be these new computers that use quantum stuff, making things like finding new medicines or breaking codes way easier. Virtual reality and augmented reality will mix with real life more, making games and learning cooler. But because everyone's data will be flying around, we'll see new rules to keep our private stuff safe from prying eyes.

Vivisector's avatar

Mars is a really important goal for the human race but we have seen that to reach it we still need time to spend, a lot. Instead, re-proposing the Moon is certainly something more feasible. Although there will certainly be some difficulties, I predict that next year the first approaches will begin with some probe directly on the surface or remote spacecraft that will begin to make the first measurements.

MQC's avatar

I believe, as I see many here, that the field that is going to receive new advances in 2025 is going to be the field of artificial intelligence, and in my opinion the next move, perhaps by next year, will be the incorporation of AI in low/medium importance customer service issues as a first step; for example, a telephone service for appointment scheduling, requests for bureaucratic procedures, resolution of technical or logistical incidents, etc. Current non-human systems are very constrained and give little scope for action, both to those who offer the services and to those who require them.

I understand that the most practical thing for public and private companies will be to offer a human back-office behind this initial service, for everything that requires an additional step of personalised attention, but I believe that this first approach will also serve as a test bench for future incorporations of AI in more complex frameworks, such as medical or legal care.

Perhaps for many this could be a problem; dehumanising services and perhaps even deprotecting the human who requires the attention, but the reality is that this already happens, it already happens with automated services that are much less efficient than an AI capable of reviewing your situation in millions of databases, interweaving the results, and proposing an efficient solution to the particular need.

I really believe that a good incorporation of AI in this field could lead to great efficiency and time gains for all parties.

I'm excited to see a more powerful Chat-GPT. As an international student, I used Chat-GPT a lot (not to write essay, but to translate and understand concept). It is just like a great teacher, whenever I encounter German or English words that I don't know, I ask him to translate it into Chinese and write a brief explanation of its meaning.

However, sometimes it also gives me wrong answer since it doesn't have enough corresponding data, I would be happy to see a great improve in accuracy of GPT's answer the next year.

Moreover, I would love to see GPT being intergrated to more other applications, we've seen the release of Apple Intelligence this year. And I would be more than happy to see more similar application the next year. For example, as an Elite:Dangerous player, I would be happy to see the combination of Chat-GPT and the in-game voice assistant COVAS (Cockpit Voice Assistant). Currently we can use VoiceAttack and HCS Voice Pack to simulate an 'intelligent' voice assistant, but it's just not intelligent enough to feel like a real sci-fi AI assistant.

🔴 A NEW CD WITH HIGH CAPACITY 🔴

We all know that the physical format is used less and less and that formats such as music CDs, DVDs and Blue Ray are becoming almost obsolete and everything seems to indicate that the physical format is going to disappear and the digital one is going to prevail

however, due to economic anti piracy factors, nostalgia and many other things, it is possible that the people at Sony, Philips, Samsung or the Chinese are working on a new CD format, I don't know. I suppose it must be a mini CD that can carry any name like HB HIGH BEAM which will allow the music industry to try to sell the physical format and

I know that this is more of a wish than a viable short-term project, but I think that nostalgia always forces practicality on you, the desire to have something in your hand, and yes, I think that some new CD format, could be an evolution of the normal CD, DVD and Blue Ray , may emerge in the not-too-distant future.

The physic format is dying, but l’m still keeping my faith in a new format that let us to have a physical Library

I will cross my fingers, waiting for

Let’s Participate it 💪🏼

The big buzz in the IT world at the moment is Generative AI but it will take many years to perfect, for sure it will keep evolving as it has, but I don't think there will be any big break-though with it next year. In years to come it's likely to replace the IT staff that are currently outsourced to countries with lower wages (ie. India). I think these countries will have more to lose with this technology as the easily automated and remotely supportable tasks will be the first on the list to go, just like they were the first to be outsourced many years ago.

A lot of companies are feeling the hurt right now due to continual rise in cost of living, which was initially caused by the Covid pandemic. My prediction is more tech companies will be losing money and will have to be innovative and find other avenues to survive in 2025.

TrialByStory's avatar

Based on what I'm seeing from other folks, my prediction is a bit of a curveball.

I think that in the back half of 2025 we're going to see the beginning of the marginalization of generative AI. Aside from the potential host of legal/ethical issues stemming from how training data for commercial uses of genAI is sourced, I think there's a problem of optics as well. Regardless of your personal feelings on the technology or my own, the fact of the matter is that there's been noticeable backlash against it, and it's not just limited to independent artists and writers on sites like tumblr or similar niche social media platforms. Multiple unions in the entertainment industry have very publically voiced concerns regarding AI, even to the point of going on strike. Steam has begun to require the disclosure of any use of generative AI assets in games on their store in a similar manner they require for mature content. And this is still with the technology in a relatively nascent form.

I don't think it's going to almost entirely go away like NFTs, or be relegated to the domain of a diehard group of believes and scam artists like cryptocurrency, but I think you're going to see its implementation slow down or possibly stagnate for a time starting next year. It'll be largely used for LLM chatbots on corporate websites/social media pages and 'character RP' mobile apps. Someone else has mentioned the possibility of using AI to create stock footage for ads or vtuber-style avatars, and I could see that potentially taking off, but I doubt we'll see anything large-scale in the entertainment industry.

AI as a whole will continue to grow, but I think the majority of that won't come from the generative AI side of things and more from large-scale data analysis applications. Tech companies will still talk about AI cores on CPUs and graphic cards for the sake of getting their hardware into data centers, and I think AI upscaling/frame generation will become increasingly common as a way for gamers to eke out extra performance from their PC/console, but I don't see the hype for AI art/video/creative writing keeping its current pace as we move forward.

And I could very easily be wrong. In a year's time, the outcry against GenAI might just end up being 'Go Woke, Go Broke,' but from a different demographic. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see it become increasingly demphasized from this point onward.

K

Personnally i can see further development in the AI sector, chatgpt was just the beginning, we are seeing more development in deep fakes, there had already been test cases and apps designed for this. Now this is a bit of a pessimistic view, but looking at criminal and political influence i can see an increase in use of deepfakes that are more sophosticated for both criminal use and possible information campaigns in politics. This will becomre more important when talking about global stability with a US presidential change whoch itself will brong alot of questipna moving forward.

Predictions for The Games Industry in 2025

I believe that in 2025 we will have new consoles, such as Microsoft's mid-generation consoles (possibly named Xbox Series X | S Pro), due to the release of the highly anticipated GTA VI, and we will also see the announcement of the new Nintendo Switch, which is currently being referred to as the Nintendo Switch 2.

I know that the gaming industry has not yet explored the full potential of this generation of consoles, but I believe we will have new releases in 2025, even with the negative reception of the new PlayStation 5.

2025 - The Year of Generative Video

In 2025, the generative video will take center stage. While deepfakes will remain a concern, the real buzz will be around creating generic stock videos entirely from prompts. Imagine ads filled with AI-generated clips of people chatting in an office near a whiteboard or kids laughing while cooking in a spacious kitchen—all crafted without real actors or sets.

We’ll also likely see the rise of "talking selfie heads" tailored for platforms like TikTok, offering fully customizable, AI-generated personas that bring content to life.

A whole new frontier for creativity (and ethical debates) awaits!

With the arrival of robots from Tesla, I believe that similar, more affordable machines than the Tesla Optimus will soon emerge, as $20,000 is certainly not an accessible price for most people. However, with advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics, it’s only a matter of time before we see a cheaper version of Tesla’s Optimus. This is comparable to how self-driving features and automatic parking, once exclusive to Tesla, are now available in many other cars, such as those from Nissan, Ford, and others.

I believe that in a few years, almost everyone will have access to these technologies as everyday products. Just like how, in the past, a cell phone with a camera was considered futuristic and only accessible to the wealthy, today even the most affordable phones come equipped with 4K cameras and Android. I’m convinced it’s only a matter of time before futuristic innovations become commonplace and accessible to all.

2025 is poised to be another groundbreaking year for technology, with transformative trends across AI, hardware, and digital culture. Here’s what I see shaping the tech landscape:

1. AI Becomes Truly Personal
In 2025, AI will evolve beyond productivity tools and become deeply integrated into everyday life. Expect hyper-personalized AI assistants capable of nuanced emotional understanding. These AI companions won’t just manage schedules—they’ll provide mental health support, coach users through skills like cooking or fitness, and even serve as creative collaborators. Generative AI will become more intuitive, allowing people to design games, art, or apps with simple voice commands.

2. Mixed Reality Hits the Mainstream
Following the success of the Apple Vision Pro, 2025 will see a flood of competitors offering more affordable mixed-reality headsets. These devices will prioritize lightweight, stylish designs, encouraging all-day wear. Mixed-reality gaming and social platforms will expand, blending the virtual and physical worlds seamlessly. Shopping, work, and entertainment will increasingly involve augmented overlays, turning screens into relics.

3. Wearables Go Beyond Health
Wearable tech will shift focus from tracking physical health to enhancing cognitive and emotional well-being. Devices that monitor stress, focus, and sleep quality will integrate with AI tools to suggest actionable improvements in real time. Brain-computer interface (BCI) startups will make headlines, though consumer-grade BCIs will remain experimental.

4. Green Tech Becomes Standard
Sustainability will dominate hardware innovation. Big tech companies will unveil circular economy initiatives, with modular, repairable devices becoming the norm. AI-driven tools for energy efficiency, from smart grids to personal carbon trackers, will gain traction. Urban farming solutions powered by robotics and AI will also rise as cities aim for local food production.

5. AI Ethics and Regulation Take Center Stage
Governments worldwide will implement stricter regulations on AI use, particularly in sensitive areas like facial recognition, misinformation, and job automation. Hi Fras_Shoyo. We're rejecting this entry and marking it ineligible because it shows signs of having been produced by generative AI, as does at least one of your other recent submissions. As has been mentioned to you before, reward submissions made using generative AI without major human input or in a low-effort way are banned on Just About.

Our platform exists to reward authentic human knowledge and the effort taken to produce it; as outlined in our AI content policy and community code of conduct, using AI in this way is considered anti-social conduct. It's good to see you active on Just About again but we want to hear from you, not AI; please refrain from this behaviour in future. Failing to do so will result in us restricting your access to the platform.

Synthetic humans are breaking through the depths of human communication, recognizing that behind our words lies the complexity of context and emotion. It is striking that the trust once reserved for human relationships is now extending to machines, a significant shift in the very nature of connection, where the bond between humans and machines will undoubtedly lead us to new possibilities. Technically, these systems will feature different cognitive, orchestration, and distribution architectures and will be optimized for specific tasks, such as writing and reviewing code, managing IT infrastructure, business planning, and cybersecurity.

In 2025, a major technological evolution I see as viable is the advancement of artificial intelligence. It is possible that they will manage to have me program more effectively, perfect the generation of images, or teach me many other things. This topic has many branches, and all seem possible, as the whole world appears to be invested in this project. However, although technology is advancing by leaps and bounds, one must also wonder if this very progress could lead to our own destruction, as humanity, in its pursuit of progress, may be creating something it cannot control.
