Here's my entry. Prehistoric Communications. It's a fossilised mobile handset from all the way back in 1998. Before Social Media, when dinosaurs made phonecalls and character limited SMS messages, before emoji.

I did use the two point Plaque_Small_LOD0 in front of the exhibit, however i couldn't find the texture so that was made from a screenshot.

Starting off with a flat image of the 5110, I've used the Cut, Extrude, Bevel, Boolean functionality in blender to make a fair approximation of the handset.

SeanB Outstanding! Matches the game's tongue-in-cheek humour and its fossil collection perfectly and execution is pretty much flawless - feels like it could go into the game right now. Congrats on first place! ๐Ÿ†

I really love the dinosaurs so I thought of what else could be added. The tiarasurus needs another big predator friend in my opinion, so my submission...the Spianosaurus.

pigi314159 Spianosaurus is an excellent pun. Commiserations on missing the podium - there were some truly outstanding submissions to this one - but Curator's Pick for a fantastic idea ๐Ÿค

So, in the Prehistoric time, there is a Dinosaur that really like something. No Scientist know what this Dinosaur knows. But it is said that this Dinosaur died while explaining something.

Almost all of the Skeletons in TPM named with Pun, so i come up with this one. hehe :3

Sutaware Shu ๐Ÿคฃa dinosplaining dinosaur - love it! A very evocative 3D model, too. Congrats on placing third in an exceptionally strong field of entries ๐Ÿ™

SQUARE 147!

The greatest success of the Square brand, a car manufacturer from the prehistoric age, it was a fantastic acquisition for big families, able to carry 5 person at the same time, the only but is that you had to do more effort to be able to push this car around. Remember that was impossible to have petroleum that time since the dinosaurs were alive at the moment.

So one of my favorites exhibits in Two Point Museum are the Ancient Inventions, and I always missed some car among them. So that was the moment, I've made a sketch to represent it, give some color to create a stone texture for better visualization.

CMDR Henckes A very beautiful drawing - fondest commiserations on just barely missing the podium for this one, it was an extremely competitive and difficult contest to judge ๐Ÿ™

CapnCrux This is brilliant. We really loved the level of thought and care you put into this one - as you say, it's an ideal piece to put in a corridor between different exhibitions and you've even thought about the perks. Congrats on second! โญ

Here's my entry for the contest, the Oarfish. I'm not a good artist so this is what I came up with. Since Oarfish are rumored to bring disasters, I thought it would be a great way to include environmental disasters like Earthquakes from the previous Two Point games. Since they tend to be a tropical fish, I figure they can be used as a lore reason for why Pebberly Island gets so many Earthquakes. Oarfishes tend to be large, so they'd probably take 5 capacity spots. Also, they would classify as a Sea Monster since we only have 3 of those in the Marine Life collection.

So I may or may not have gone a little bit overboard with this - I ended up coming up with not one, not two, but six different concepts for this, all based in the Paleontology field. (I had a couple vague concepts in mind for other fields, but poorly-drawn dinos are the absolute extent of my creative talent).

First up, we've got the Daredevildon - it's loosely based on the weird idea that Parasaurolophus could breathe fire. I can't draw skeletons too well, so my prehistoric animals are going to be depicted as they might have looked in life.

Also depicted is my second entry, the Aquathon! This one's a play on the 'fishapod' - of course, where those fish just crawled out of the water, the Aquathon was the first fish to don sneakers and start running. Those sneakers fossilized with the animal - when it's stolen, the legs and shoes are the only parts that get taken.

Next, we've got my first Frozen Find - the Giant Tree Sloth.

There's a surprising lack of Ice Age critters in TPM's lineup, and ground sloths are one of the most classic Cenozoic beasts. So, why not add a little spin on that? I imagine that this could be made either a skeleton or a whole frozen body.

Next up is a standalone exhibit - the Primordial Soup Cauldron! I figured that since a Primordial Soup Kitchen is already a thing in the game, it only makes sense to have a more literal version available as an exhibit. Like the Botany exhibits sorted under Edible Plants, I imagine that guests can eat from it.

I imagine that the in-game version might have more of a stony texture for the cauldron, but again, I don't have the ability to draw that.

The second Frozen Fauna creature I made is the Woolly Mam-Mothman - this one's based loosely upon this classic photo of a teratorn museum display.

https://twitter.com/GlarnBoudin/status/1924150630177804519

And finally, we have the Rexcavator, a stonepunk version of construction equipment! This one was loosely based upon an old line of dinosaur toys with a gimmick of transforming into vehicles, as well as a bit of Flintstones.

I hope you enjoyed these, TPM team! I actually work at a natural history museum, and paleontology's always been a passion of mine - it was really fun getting to work on some contributions to this fantastic game!

I started out with a rough sketch of my idea and then used microsoft pain 3D to slowly make my idea come to life. I took a basic pillar and the bookworm from the Book Club in Two Point Museum and combined the two. I also layered on some amber and brown color and darkened the pillar to create the ambered effect on the bookworm. See photos below for progression of my bookworm. We certainly need more Amber exhibits!

I donโ€™t have any 3D modeling skills, so I did my best using a free Illustrator alternative called Inkscape. I donโ€™t have a drawing tablet either, so I included a few steps showing how I went from a rough sketch to digital to a bit of animation. I'm sure there are way easier ways to do it. I really love the idea of a Fishfluencer. Not sure I nailed it, but I gave it my best shot! :)
