A forestry focused challenge, similar to the harvesting challenge (and based on a similar concept to "The Logging League")

Give players a 10 minute timer to cut down trees and load on to a truck or trailer ready to deliver to the sawmill. At the end of the 10 minutes, take the logs to the local sawmill and see how much money they can make.

Can choose any forestry equipment, there are no limits, the only limit is the timer, which starts when the first tree is cut down.

It could be limited to a certain area on a map, eg the forest area behind the sawmill on Zeilonka to give a fair limit to the types of trees available.

New Frontier by Ola Haldor is a ground breaking map for Farming Simulator 25 for multiple reaons, the way it was made, the variations provided with three maps in one and the expansion on the 'start from scratch' adventure that defined previous Farming Simulator games.

New Frontier pushed the boundaries of map building, using procedurally generated tree placement, landscaping and foliage decoration. It includes 3 maps in one, with a foresty focused map with denser trees, a large farmland map with bigger parcels of land to begin with, and a smaller farmland map with smaller more affordable parcels of land.

Start from Scratch and build your own farms is a popular way to play Farming Simulator 25 and New Frontier bought this to the game in abundance, providing a wide variety of game play options for every virtual farmer out there.

No two saves on this map are the same which in my opinion makes this the best community made map for Farming Simulator 25 (so far!)

Expanded crop protection

Currently, base game requires regular fertilizing of crops and if you have weed enabled then you can spray herbicide to control the weeds. I would like to see this expanded further:

• crops can be subject to random issues - insects or pests, fungi, weeds

• need to use specific chemicals to control - add in pesticides, insecticides and fungicides

• these come in smaller containers and need to be mixed with water at the correct ratios

• expand fertilizers to have different types (compounds) with certain crops needing different combinations - Nitrogen, Phosphates, Potassium etc

This would make the stage between planting and harvesting crops more dynamic and bring more depth to the game, not just skipping those days in between.

So many reasons! It's a super relaxing game which you can play however you like - role play being a real farmer, use mods to be able to fast farm, forestry, animals, cropping, multiplayer or on your own, the possibilities are endless which keeps the game fresh each time you load it up. Plus, the community is pretty chill and always there to help new and experienced farmers.

I've compiled my Top 10 Tips for New Players:

• understand the differences between new farmer, farm manager and start from scratch

• choose a farming style and focus on that before diversifying

• buy inputs from the store and warehouse to get started on productions, animals and more

• lease equipment to test it out or to carry out tasks when you can't afford to buy

• understand the menus and enable/disable features to suit your play style

• use the required equipment by crop feature in the shop to help learn the equipment

• take on contracts to learn about different farming practices

• ues the NPC's, in game help and FS Academy on line to learn more

• field flipping to make money

• understand how mods work and use to your advantage

• most important - play it your way, there is no right or wrong way to farm, whatever works for you!
