Getting started in any game can be a challenge. Luckily you get campaign options. For any one new to the series i sugest the new farmer option. Where it gives you equipment and land.
You are usually given 2 to 3 fields. Harvest the field that is ready. Usually wheat, then take the harvested grain to the highest paying elevavtor or mill. Then start plowing fields for next year. Usually after plowing you want fertilize and lime your fields to get maximum yields( yield equals profit)
Once plowing is done pick what crop you want to do next. Make sure you can afford the equipment for that crop first. Somtimes you'll have to wait to plant. If that's the case have fun exploring the map or just speed up time!
One way u can save a little money is leaseing equipment. But make sure to slow down time to real life and return the equipment when work is complete because you pay by the day on it.
