I wrote this flash ficcion with Lucca in mind, Gia’s relative who is only mentioned in the demo, but briefly appears in the extra battle. I wanted to explore a story about him before... well, you know.

The piece begins with his second to last mission, showing a Lucca who, much like Gia, overthinks everything while carrying the weight of duty. Then he returns only to find the final letter, written by Blanc, and his last assignment the one that, in this interpretation, ultimately leads to his fate.

I thought it would be interesting to create a pre-game moment for a character who seems to be so important to the main protagonist, giving him a kind personality, even with small fears, like heights, but still firm and determined when it comes to completing his objectives.

I also tried to use nighttime locations to evoke that feeling of a “final day moment” along with some ambient movement, a brief touch of music, and a few sound effects to make it more immersive.

I also checked the subtitles manually, though there might still be a few mistakes here and there.

I also added the wishlist reminder at the end of the video, just like in their trailers.

This is my first time editing in DaVinci Resolve! And it was stressful, but I loved it.

Because my PC couldn’t handle heavier visual effects, I focused on sound design, adding foley, ambience and subtle audio cues to bring the world to life. I removed the original audio of the videos so the game’s own music could stand out.

I mostly used footage from the official channel, but wanted to give it a different touch, so I combined different small scenes from all the videos with a bit of my own gameplay. The idea was to show the atmosphere and world-building first and then the mechanics, paired with an intense and captivating melody. I’m not sure if it worked, but I’m happy with the result, especially the ending, which is actually the beginning of the game. Funny enough, it fades out with “The End,” making it the perfect ending for the trailer too, followed by the invitation to add it to your wishlist. I actually found that clip at the very last minute, and ended up really liking it.

My favorite part? The ticking clock you hear when the scene changes, like time speeding up or quietly reminding us that the story is running out of it.

I also added a few on-screen words, like “dice-based decisions,” “turn-based combat,” and “different worlds.”

I’ll also include subtitles in both Spanish and English on YouTube so the trailer can be completely understood.

I really enjoyed creating something like this. At first, I was scared, because I had never done anything like this before, and I was afraid I wouldn’t meet my own expectations. But I’m glad I tried, it allowed me to bring to life something I find beautiful, with an artistic style I genuinely liked.

I wanted to make him more fearful, more "human", to show that he wasn’t always what we know.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I wrote it while listening to emotionally powerful music, so maybe I got more emotional than I should have.

The line "When everything else has been consumed, the only option for something like Monad is to consume its own self." Makes me think about what Monad truly is, and what an inevitable end really means, but it also makes me wonder who are The Coven?
What if they, too, are fragments of Monad, fighting against the very end they were born to prevent?

I decided to use it to show those who pull the strings of our destiny in the game and something that might surprise or intrigue anyone who sees it.
The other two images come from the official press kit, included to highlight the multiplayer mode and showcase some of the game’s most visually striking moments in better quality.

Curiosity drives me to explore every area in search of more information and to learn more about the world.

It was fun. I took several shots in different places as I progressed, and this one is definitely my favorite for its dominant colors and the way the character rises on the stage, shaped by the atmosphere and his own light.
The halo like glow behind his head adds a more poetic interpretation, perhaps an angel, a messenger sent to slay the gods created by humans, something he himself draws inspiration from.

I used the main cars from the game’s cover art and a few in-game assets like an extra weapon on the car in the back and a subtle glow to give it a touch of a more fantasy world.
