One of my favorite shots I’ve taken so far in Eve.

This is more my role in the EVE universe and I find it immensely fun and engaging. I get to be a finance bro, while working in public health and trying to save the world during the day. I am on a sort of summer break, it seems (real life always takes priority) so haven't updated the blog in about a month and a half. But excited for a new project, so perhaps I'll be back earlier.

Philip Glass is one of those classical composers that really blends into New Eden well given his work with the synthesizer that lends a futuristic feel of his work for films like Koyaanisqatsi and his radical Einstein on the Beach opera, really pushing the boundaries about the future of classical music and composition. Also the EVE bgm is also very similar to his work (and perhaps provided the musical grammar for electronic music in general (though it would be remiss of me to not include Wendy Carlos in the conversation about electronic music and imagining the “future” )). Sorry for the long lecture but Glass continues to be one of my favorites 15 years later after first hearing them.

Lol I’m quite partial to clowns as I wanted to go to Clown College when I was a kid, but sadly it closed when I was 9

I don’t love PvP and really need to learn. So when and if I PvP outside of getting ganked while mining, exploring, and hacking, I, of course want Flight of the Valkyries from Apocalypse Now but really it’s going to be more Benny Hill than anything.

Skyscrapers in space? Most definitely. As I said, the Jita station looks like something I would find in my neck of the woods and it definitely gives me all the cozy vibes.

Caught this picture as I was trying to dock into Jita to replace some ships and well... I hit that stop button as quickly as possible when the perfect screenshot opportunity showed itself.

So I chose the Sarathiel. I love the shapes and the curves and the fact it looks like a Cyclopes dragon head.

It feeels like a sporty ship and what better colors that orange, grey, and black. I love simple lines and that is what I chose. I was going back and forth with the liberty line creating a rounded fish eye style around the big Angel Cartel “logo” but I really prefer the flat lines. It reminds me of rugby and soccer/football jerseys (can the other sports try to make better jerseys, granted basketball is making strides!

Zoooooom!

The Gallente Shuttle, really all shuttles, is my underrated ship! It does the zoomies really well and for some reason all the ones I own have cat names.

Plus if I need to move a small module, it’s the perfect microhauler!
