Spin Off Title: "The Soup Kitchen"
The spin off that I would love to see is the character named The Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne, from the John Wick series. In earlier John Wick movies, the Bowery King is known for leading an underground intelligence network disguised as a homeless shelter in New York City. Without spoiling chapter 4, for those who have not seen the movie yet, just know that the Bowery King was a major ally to John Wick but a character that does not gain much attention. However, how he helped John Wick in chapter 4 proves that his power, resources, and connections can be interesting stories on their own. The Bowery King’s sophisticated network grabbed my curiosity and interest to learn more about how this network co-exists within the John Wick universe.
The spin off should focus on the Bowery King’s early life, his rise to power, and his network co-existence within the Continental underworld. Another reason why this spin off will be interesting is because stories arcs centering around the Continental underworld and its conflicts have no dependence on John Wick because the universe of assassins, The Continental, and New York underworld are enough to give this spin off some rich content. The opportunity to create new stories within the John Wick universe will be endless. The spin off should be called, “The Soup Kitchen”.
