Obaknid prefers to hop around on the ground instead of in the canopy, and uses its web to launch sticky nets at its victims, or grabbing them from behind and immediately disappearing.

These 3 pokemon are inspired by ghostly youkai; yuurei, chochin obake, and kasa obake.

Obaknid's signature move is Surprise Attack, a ghost type variant of Fake Out.
