I named my first hammer “archimera”. it's based on two things Archi which comes from the Greek Archi (ἀρχι-) which means “main”, “ruler”, or “supreme as a representation that this weapon will be the main starting weapon for the ruler.
and Chimera which in Greek mythology, Chimera refers to a combined mythical creature of several animals. which in this case represents a combination of feelings when forging the hammer which is filled with confusion, compulsion, necessity, curiosity etc. that occur when forging the hammer, besides that chimera also refers to the various materials used in making the hammer.
In conclusion; “Archimera” is not just a name-it is a mantra that binds the meaning and inner journey of a blacksmith to his first creation.
It is also a symbol of:
An imperfect, yet honest beginning.
A weapon born of inner turmoil and great hope.
A representation of the power that is not always clean and smooth, but always real.
