Enginefall is an extraction first person shooter, interesting, basically you have to explore a train and steal the resources inside and then escape, the most interesting thing is that you can create bases inside the map.

Furthermore, it is possible to craft objects in the game right from the start, collecting the required materials, in addition to building bases as already mentioned before, another interesting thing is that the game puts you in this train divided into classes of wagons with resources to collect such as plastic or metal, the game starts with a hammer in hand and you have to complete missions, collect objects and then extract them by finding a specific escape area, call the train for the escape and jump on it trying to avoid falling and dying, there are also various weapons that the player can use, unfortunately however the alpha test was a bit buggy at High details with a configuration consisting of a Ryzen 5 8500G - Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX - 32 GB of Ram DDR5 6000 Mhz - RTX 5060TI 16 GB and a NVME WD SN580 2TB the game ran very smoothly with a good framerate and good graphic quality, the main problem was the loading of the assets where sometimes it was not loaded correctly creating problems after an extraction or the game did not load and you had to restart, being an Alpha this kind of problems can also exist but I hope in a future alpha test these problems will be resolved, all in all the game is not bad, very fun, I can't wait to see further developments of the game.

the ship mounts a FSD SCO grade A with Jump Range and Mass Manager that allows you to reach the system where you need to collect resources with as few jumps as possible

the Power Plant and the Thrusters are also grade A and allow for excellent efficiency of the ship both in terms of energy generation and speed

from the Optionals point of view the ship mounts 2 Limpet controller modules allowing to launch 6 Limpets that reach up to 1.56 KM away all with 4 launchable mining Limpets with a distance of 5 KM.

A refinery to refine materials and a Shield Generator of class 5A that can be replaced by the 5C Bi-Wawe or the Prismatic Shield depending on your preferences.

As for the Hardpoints, the ship is equipped with 3 Medium Minning Laser Fixed 2D and 1 Large Minning Laser 2D fixed and 2 Large Burst Laser Fixed 3E, this way you can hit asteroids much more easily and more comfortably than with the turret model.

Burst Lasers engineered with efficiency and inertial impact to do much more damage

for the utility mount instead the issue is different I put a Heat sink Launcher there to manage the ship's heat

1 shield booster and 1 point defense in case the ship is attacked by some missile.

obviously I left an empty slot where you can add a module as you like

As for the hold, I inserted 3 Cargo Rack 6E modules which give 64 tons of hold for a total of 198 tons of space

now let's see the pros and cons of this build

since the Corsair is a multi-role ship also suitable for trade, it is possible to adapt the ship for that role too, making the appropriate changes

PRO

  • Easy to maneuver

  • Ship temperature not too high

  • a fair amount of Limpet

  • basic mining ship

CONS

  • high cost and many resources needed to engineer the modules

  • Hold capacity 198 Tons

  • lack of Fuel Scoop to go long distances

  • Insurance cost in case the ship is destroyed is 10 Million unless you have Power Play bonuses
