If you were to run an alliance, how would you strucure it? Would you organize strict hierarchies and chains of command? Would you be an industrial- or combat-focused alliance? (or BOTH?)

Any and all ideas you have for how you'd run the alliance of your wildest dreams, put them here!

( prizes: larger prize amounts for video submissions, smaller prizes for text submissions. However - be subjective about it! Low-effort video submissions who clearly only did it to get the bigger prize? nothing. clearly high-effort (and non-AI) text submissions from people who maybe don't or can't have a youtube channel/etc? bigger tier of prize! )

The Wormlife alliance, mainly consisting of the Wormlife Freeport Operations corporation, is an alliance that operates dozens of Upwell Citadels throughout the wormhole network that are "freeports," meaning all players* have docking rights and can store as much as they want there!

This is incredibly invaluable to newbies who want to get started with fully living in a wormhole system - they can stay in hole and never leave, without worrying about the dangers of safelogging or the sheer financial burden of fueling their own Starbase.

Wormlife also:

• maintains a militia to defend any freeport structures that come under attack

• keeps Planetary Interaction taxes low in freeport systems, allowing freeport-goers to turn much more profit out of the already-lucrative J-space planets

• provides in-game chat channels for long-time residents of a specific system to communicate and share intel with each other

• sets guidelines for freeport-goers to set up their own structures or starbases in freeport systems

• sets rules on PvP in freeport systems to ensure that freeport-goers don't have to worry about other freeport-goers attacking them during their J-space activities while being able to dock up at a sign of resistance.

and RE that last bullet point, we have the explanation for the asterisk.
*not all players actually have docking rights. The specific people who don't: Any players or corporations/alliances who attack Wormlife Freeports, or attack players while in freeport systems, are removed from the docking permisisons list and become unable to dock or tether at Wormlife freeports. Engaging in PvP further down the wormhole chain is fine - but not in the freeport system itself.

TLDR: Wormlife sets up freeports in wormhole space that everyone can dock in and provides a safe haven for new-to-wormhole-life players to get used to the mechanics and activities of Anoikis.

The Jove Empire was believed to have been living (and thriving) in the Curse region throughout the millennia between the collapse of the Eve Gate and the rebuilding of society in the four core empires. While the rest of New Eden was stuck in a Dark Age without any of their old technology (including spaceflight, to be clear!), the Jove were colonizing half a dozen constellations! :P

(until they started dying off to the Jovian Disease, and the Angel Cartel kicked 'em out)

When I was in a dark time mental health wise, I found Eve Online. As a science and space nerd, especially Star Wars, I was hooked immediately. In the short term, Eve Online became my escape from my environment, an escape I desperately needed at the time. However, as I have left that unhealthy environment behind, Eve has stuck with me.

I stuck with Eve, and Eve with me, because now it is more than just an escape from my circumstances. It is now where I have found a community of other nerds who also enjoy playing this old-as-crap game about flying spaceships around in space, and enjoy playing it with each other. That community is more amazing than anything else I have experienced in my life, period.

So that's how Eve has changed my life for the better - it kept me afloat when I was drowning, and it has been a constant source of joy and community since then.
