Teach us how to play The Morrigan in SMITE 2!

in SMITE 2

Closed

Morrigan is a versatile and complex mage with a gameplay that demands a high level of skill. She is designed as a goddess of fate and war, and her skills include deception and adaptability.
Passive (Doomsayer): Morrigan hits an enemy with a skill and leaves a mark of destiny on them, which can accumulate to 3. When she reaches 3, the next skill consumes these marks, deals bonus damage and reduces the enemy's magical protection for a short time. Always try to hit these skills to accumulate these marks as quickly as possible, this will help you a lot with explosive damage.
Skill 1 (Deadly Aspects): it summons power in all three forms and attacks forward, dealing damage and stunning.
Skill 2 (Dark Omen): Morrigan unleashes a magical explosion that deals damage to enemies and can even stun them if they have 3 fate marks. I like to save this skill for when the opponent has 3 marks, to stun and make the kill more certain.
Skill 3 (Confusion): Morrigan creates a clone of herself and gains movement speed. The clone will walk in a straight line while you remain invisible.
Ultimate (Changeling): Morrigan transforms into any god on the battlefield, whether ally or enemy, for a short time, gaining access to their basic abilities (except the ultimate). This is one of the most impressive ultimates for me, and you can use it according to your accuracy, whether for tank, mage or assassin abilities.
The best builds for Morrigan should focus on maximizing her magical power, thinking about reducing cooldowns, flexibility and survivability. Talking about her mid lane game (which I think is ideal), I suggest some important items such as Pendulum of the Ages, Book of Tooth, The Cosmic Horror, Phantom Shell, Polynomicon and Gem of Focus.
It's important to clear the waves to be able to farm safely and keep pressure on the lane. Make the most of the marks you leave behind, they help you a lot during the game. I also like to place sentries to avoid ganks, as she's more vulnerable at the start. Once you've unlocked Ultimate, you can switch to solo or duo routes and copy a god. To do this, it's important to know each god's abilities and how to use them at the right time (which is why I find it tricky to play). Always know how to position yourself and try to stay a little further back. As for skill leveling, in general I prefer 2>1>3 and, of course, ultimate whenever possible. Playing as Morrigan isn't easy at all, but it can be a lot of fun with the right ones :)

Create a guide on how to play Ymir in SMITE 2!

in SMITE 2

Closed

Ymir is one of the best choices to play support in smite 2 (for me, of course). He has impressive CC, explosive damage and amazing battlefield control.

Passive (Frostbite): all of his skills that hit an enemy combine Frostbite. It's basically a debuff that increases the damage of Ymir's basic attacks and reduces the damage of enemies hit. I always like to follow the use of the Skill with a basic attack, to increase the damage.

Skill 1 (Ice Wall): an ice wall is summoned that blocks movement and displaces enemies when cast and can be destroyed when you reactivate the Skill. If you use it on Ymir's feet, he is pushed forward and it works almost like a dash. You can use it either to block the passage and protect yourself or to trap enemies, just make sure you position it well according to your purpose.

Skill 2 (Glacial Strike): Ymir creates a line of ice spikes that deal magic damage and slow down enemies. I like to use it to clear waves of minions and even freeze them.

Skill 3 (Frost Breath): Ymir releases an icy breath that deals damage and stuns enemies. Excellent for starting fights and stopping that enemy who is your priority target. Preventing escapes is also a great application. The combination of this Skill with Ice Wall is excellent, as you can trap stunned enemies.

Ultimate (Shards of Ice): Ymir freezes the air around him and slows down enemies while channeling. After channeling, it explodes and deals mass damage. Very useful for dealing area damage in team fights and securing kills. For this I always try to position myself in the center of the fight, to ensure maximum benefit.

The build may vary a little depending on your role, but they all prioritize reducing cooldowns, defenses and magical power, always thinking about maximizing your CC and your survival on the field. Items such as Heroism, Blink Rune, Prophetic Cloak, Genji's Guard, Talisman of Purification and Circe's Hexstone are very useful for the build.

Always know how to position yourself, using Ice Wall with the right positioning will help you a lot. As support, try to control the route, place plenty of sentries and stay close to your rearguard so you can always protect when necessary. Ymir is an excellent choice, perhaps with a slight weakness in his mobility but nothing that hinders him too much, after all balance is everything.

Teach us how to play Bellona in SMITE 2!

in SMITE 2

Bellona is the Roman goddess of war, a fun and very versatile choice who excels in group control, adaptability and sustain.

Her basic attack deals physical damage to an enemy in front of her, and Bellona has 4 different weapons, depending on the most recent skill used.

Passive (Master Of War): when Bellona hits or is hit by basic attacks, she gains movement speed. Each skill modifies the style of the basic attack, with unique effects. If you use Sword and Shield, you gain protection stacks; Scourge gains attack speed stacks; Hammer gains strength stacks. The passive helps you a lot to sustain yourself in the lane, you can accumulate protection and speed in exchanges.

Skill 1 (Shield Bash): Bellona rushes forward with her shield and deals physical damage to enemies. For every god hit, you gain a stack of blocks. For every 3 successful attacks, you gain a stack of blocks, which generate damage. It's a good choice for starting fights or closing distances, the slowness is a great ally and helps you prepare basic attacks or other skills. I also like to use it to escape from certain situations if I'm low on life.

Skill 2 (Bludgeon): Bellona spins the hammer to deal physical damage to enemies around her and then strikes forward, dealing physical damage to enemies in a line. Very useful for wave clearing and area damage, as well as guaranteeing kills. The more enemies you hit, the more damage you deal.

Skill 3 (Scourge): it lashes out in a line, dealing damage and disarming enemies. I consider it an excellent strategy against opponents who rely on basic attacks, such as assassins. In addition, disarming can interrupt skills, which is very important to use in your game strategy.

Ultimate (Eagle's Rally): Bellona jumps forward and plants her flag, dealing physical damage and stunning enemies. The flag grants you and your close allies protection, strength and intelligence. Excellent for escaping and attacking, I like to use it to start fights or to counterattack when enemies advance. Using this skill can be decisive in your fight, and the strategic positioning of the flag is essential to ensure your best performance.

Regarding the order in which skills are leveled up, in general I prefer 2 > 3 > 1 > 4.

As for solo builds, I like to use items such as Berserker Shield for mixed defenses and attack speed, Qins Blade to guarantee additional damage, Dagger of Frenzy, Bumbas Spear... and some situational items such as Shogun's Kusari and Cloak of Discord. I think it's a great option to play, but with regard to some negative points I would say the dependence on skills, which generates the need to manage mana, as well as its vulnerability to CC.

A few tips: at first, always try to clear waves and secure your route, beating your opponent; know how to adapt to the situations that arise; positioning is always essential, such as when the flag is up, it will make all the difference. Finally, have fun! Playing Bellona is generally very satisfying and I find the learning curve very easy.

Teach us how to play Agni in SMITE 2!

in SMITE 2

Closed

Agni, the God of Fire, combines crowd control and explosive damage, making him an excellent choice for the mid lane.

Passive (Combustion): with each basic attack you hit, you gain stacks. When you gather 4 stacks, the next Flame Wave or Rain Fire will ignite enemies, dealing more damage for 3 seconds. If she manages to kill an enemy, Agni enters a Hot Streak for 10s, which, while she's in it, Combustion is fully charged and skills don't consume it. I like to use it to attack minions or at the start on gods to build up Combustion.

Skill 1 (Noxious Fumes): Agni summons a cloud of noxious smoke that lasts for 10 seconds, dealing magic damage per second. In addition, hitting the smoke with any of her other skills detonates the gas, dealing stun and magic damage to opponents. Always try to position it at strategic points, such as on an enemy trapped by an ally.

Skill 2 (Flame Wave): a wave of fire is summoned causing physical damage. After reaching the maximum distance, it persists for 1 second. It's important to be good at aiming here haha.

Skill 3 (Path of Flames): Agni runs forward and leaves a trail of fire behind. Enemies who pass through the area take magic damage for 2s and if they touch the area again, the duration is updated. Notes: the trail of flame lasts 3s; you are immune to displacement; passing over noxious fumes will ignite you. One option is to use it to clear waves of minions, or defensively when you need to flee.

Ultimate (Rain Fire): A meteor is summoned, dealing magic damage and slowing you down by 50%. You can have up to 3 charges of this ability, but the first time you get them all, which can help your strategy for using it. I always like to keep a charge in case I need to defend myself or to give the enemy one last blow and confirm the kill.

With regard to skill progression, in general I prefer the 3-2-1 order and ultimate whenever possible, of course. With regard to the build, always think about magical power, penetration and reducing the recharge time. Some items that I think are very important are: Vampiric Shroud to sustain mana and life; Sands of time for CDR and mana; Gem of Focus for more magical power...

It's important to know how to combine the noxious fume + flame wave stun combo, which helps you a lot in the game; as I've already said, know how to manage the ultimate's charges; and in general, I always like to emphasize that positioning is essential, and even there it's important to know how to use the terrain to your advantage, and you should always try to adapt your build to each situation you encounter. Finally, Agni is an excellent choice if you want to master the mid lane. Practice helps you learn to combine combos and manage your skills.
