My 10 month old Pixel 8 phone recently started to go faulty. Every time I plugged it in for charging, the screen would get this weird green static on it for a second or two, & a green static type bar would scroll from top to bottom down the screen as well. It was a bit like a “ghost in the machine” sort of glitch that you would see in a film in some scene to hint that a phone has been bugged/tapped and is glitching.

Randomly over the next month, when I brought the phone out of sleep, & usually during some time sensitive activity like trying to use Google pay in a shop, it would be bright green with a random patch flickering off and on at max hdr brightness, this section would also be hotter than the sun when touched (to use an Alan partridge phrase!).

This got worse over the weeks until a couple of weeks before the warranty expired, the screen was just dead most of the time.

sent it off for a free warranty repair, which involved the huge carbon footprint of shipping by air mail to Poland, then flown all the way back to me & delivered to my door, just for a standard screen swap out.

This repair process took a good couple of weeks to play out & searching on Reddit showed me this is not a one off unique problem,m. There are reports of exactly the same very specific screen issue going back through multiple pixel models over the years.

Phoneless, I switched back to the apple eco system and got a 16 pro. Sold the repaired handset once it eventually got delivered back to me.

Since joining here I've been a lot more interested in being rewarded for doing things that I'm doing anyway and the platform is profiting off (in theory). With that being something we all have in common on here, I suggest the app called onepulse.

Before you dismiss it as the same as the ton of other survey apps that pays next to nothing for a massive amount of time and data. Let me explain.... So I've tried out lots of these survey apps and this one is the most interesting to take part in I have found, and it must be one of the best when it comes to respecting your time and paying you a fair reward. They do not have an affiliate programme which has resulted in very few people and sites reccomending it (as they don't get paid to).

So basically each survey is called a pulse, instead of a long boring survey, most of them are very topical and fun to do, usually take anything from 5 to 30 seconds. They are more like the sort of polls you would answer that can often be embedded in a news story or on a forum post.

To start with you get 7 cents but as you level up your xp you get more with a 1 cent increase per level. I have been on it 2 weeks and now get 16 cents per paid pulse and on $11 for very little effort.

Most of the pulses are unpaid and are optionally done to increase your level. The paid ones come through as notifications on your phone and there are a steady stream of them through the day, far more than I initially expected. Generally you have to open them within 5 minutes or all the spots have been filled and the pulse closed.

So yeah that's my suggestion and I think a few members on here looking for some extra funds to pay for their games etc might really like it. It's nothing like your usual survey app/site that have endless filter questions that that then rule you out and pay you nothing. These are quick 1/2 question polls on an interesting subject and you are done.

What does Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 need to succeed? What do you want to see?

I think this entry will be very successful and have it's biggest player base in many years thanks to being included in gamepass.

In terms of the game itself. It needs a lot more polish and care spent on it than the last 2 entries. I didn't buy the latest MW3 on principal because MW2 was so disappointing. Constant crashes on the pc steam version that didn't affect the battle.net version.

Terribly designed and unfinished menus and content. hardly any 6v6 maps even though that's the paid multiplayer. A map removed because they modelled it on a real life hotel without permission. They spread themselves too thin across too many game modes that meant the whole thing felt like a beta test.

They also need to put more focus on the paid part of the game IE the normal multiplayer instead of the free to play battle royale mode. It just felt like an afterthought to them in MW2 with every patch having loads of stuff for the free mode and hardly anything for the classic 6v6 game.

The campaign teaser is looking promising so let's hope that delivers! Let's hope they drop the awful crafting mechanics as they were really bad in the couple of the MW2 levels that had it.
