I have a combo for this one: r/battlestations is great for inspiration. Because if we spend so much time on our desks, we may at least make them nice places.
And while you are improving your place, you can always have a look or post at r/shittybattlestations and be glad, it's not that bad! :D

Otro Gariushi had one of the most impressive careers in New Eden. From the son of a drug dealer to Guristas pirate to capsuleer and finally CEO of the Ishukone mega-corporation.
The Broker had to ram a Nyx, a super carrier-class vessel, into a station to end this man's run.*
*That part can be read in the novel THE EMPYREAN AGE by Tony Gonzales.
ISBN 978-07653-6390-944 - I greatly recommend it.

In Thera, there is an Osprey Navy Issue docked up that is special to me. It was acquired via contract and delivered via the corporation's hauling service.
It still has the hull and module damage from its last engagement, only a half-filled drone bay, and an assortment of random loot in its cargo.
It's named 'Bane of 4MY-AB', and was the last ship I flew as a mercenary for Noir., deployed into the name-giving constellation. It's a dead-end of a couple of systems in Immensea. A great place to PvE undisturbed - unless someone puts a bounty on you and sends a bunch of mercs after you. It was the ship of choice as it was easy to restock out in space. It only needed cap charges, some nanite paste, and a handful of extra missiles to keep going. That is important because we had no option to dock up during this deployment.
I think we were there for about a month during which I collected around 25 kill marks. The ship escaped some hairy situations and got me many good fights. Now it serves as a fond memory in my assets.
And I made one of my best PvP videos so far flying it.
