Faint - Linking Park @ Wembley

My most recent gig took me to Wembley to see one of my all time favs. I was quite close to both Emily and Mike which was really cool, got some nice shots and being in the thick of it crowd-wise was sick, excellent atmosphere.

Faint was one of my highlights, Papercut probably took the top spot though. No video of that one as I was just enjoying the moment.

I've chosen to draft a soundtrack for my fav book series, Red Rising.

It's a Space Opera so I've gone with some powerful 'spacey' ballads but also thrown in some classic rock/metal tracks there to be used during some of the battle scenes.

There's an event in RR called an 'Iron Rain'. (You can see it in the background of the attached image) It's very similar to dropping in Helldivers, when I first read of the Iron Rain all I could hear was the Helldivers theme.

Black and gold kits hit hard, Arsenal's 22/23 away kit is an all time fav of mine. We should've been wearing that when we lifted the Champions League trophy, not our Lynx Africa one ;)

Anyway I've combined that kit with one of my old fav's, our 95/96 away kit. I like the simple yet dynamic shape of the bolt, adds a subtle flair.

Also BRING BACK THE OLD BADGE

I think Shutter Island is absolutely littered with them, all alluding to what's actually going on.

Some of these include Leo's character never lighting his own cigarettes (he's not allowed anything that could start a fire).

However there's a clever one involving a glass of water. In the scene they're interviewing nurses and one of them asks for a glass of water. When she takes a drink there's no glass, she’s just miming the action. This is said to be because Leo's character only see's what he want's to see and is supposedly blocking out it out because of his trauma involving water.

When it comes to games fewer things make me laugh more than my mates whiffing.

This was from years ago during the open beta of Valorant, our resident potty mouth was in the hot seat for a clutch moment and pulled of this HUGE play.

Queue me running out of breath in the background.

II from Sleep Token

I've always admired drummers, they're literally the base for any band and often the most ignored.

I think II is a true artist when it comes to the drums, he has a aura of confidence, when you hear him speak about his craft you can feel knowledge and passion oozing from him.

Nothing is really known about II but that's kinda the point, everyone in the band is anonymous. I became a fan after discovering II's Drumeo video in which he dissects his favourite tracks to play and goes into depth on his techniques and inspirations. Said video is nearly an hour long, if you just want a taster of what he can do/what I'm waffling about check out the video below.

Side note, Chad Smith from the Chilli Peppers did a video with Drumeo where they play a song they've never heard before and get them to play a drum track for it. Excellent video, well worth a watch!

I'm so bloody proud of this, it was actually really fun to make and a sparked my love for making art which is hard to do now it's my job!!

I've attached several screens for proof of process, I decided to try a simple line drawing, I got a new Wacom tablet the other week and it was a good test of it's capabilities (more so mine, I'm not the best at drawing)

The idea was sparked by a cause that's close to my heart, my partners 3 year old keeps referring to poor little Charmander as a Dinosaur but REAL ones know the truth!!!
