Hogs of War might get a remaster via Kickstarter

What a game... I've such fond memories of playing what was essentially 3D Worms three years before 3D Worms became a thing. The Kickstarter campaign goes live on October 17 through to November 16 and will contain stretch goals, including one that might see this end up on PC if it's successful.

As always, there are risks when it comes to backing crowdfunding campaigns, so proceed with caution, but you can count me among the backers.

This has been on the cards for quite a while I believe! Was in touch with one of the chaps behind it for a potential interview back in my last role before going freelance - he posts regular, excellent updates to YouTube. It doesn't surprise me they've looked to Kickstarter though, as I believe they're a pretty small team and some extra funding would almost certainly elevate the project a long way.

On a side note, I almost bought the Hogs of War board game last year, but it was so expensive...

I had no idea! I'm a big fan of the original, so I'd more than support a re-release. It's a shame PC and other platforms than PS5 will probably be stretch goals that aren't guaranteed, but I believe the game is popular enough to potentially get there. The amount of people that I've shared this with that have said it's unlocked a memory for them...

After the Rainbow Six Siege board game, I don't think I'll ever entertain another early access tabletop thing. They've basically forced people to pay their pledge a second time due to low funds. Disgusting practice.
