'Tis the season to be jolly, so they say, and we'll be goshdarned if we're going to make them liars. Whoever they are, they don't deserve that. An essential component of jollity is of course singing and that's why we challenged our community to write our own version of the 12 Days of Christmas. And you delivered.

We've stitched together a gaming-themed take on this classic carol from all the imaginative submissions we received to that bounty, and now - that's right - it's time to sing it. Here's the song:

"On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me:

Twelve special editions,

Eleven re-releases,

Ten blitzballs bouncing,

Nine wormholes wandering,

Eight torpedoes launching,

Seven chats a-bantering, 

Six Xbox plushies,

Five gold rings!

Four XP points,

Three Onion Knights,

Two Pokéballs,

And a DM saying pause to come have tea!"

Please record your own version of these verses in the traditional format: start with the first day of Christmas, then the second and the first, then the third, second, and first, and so on. That you keep to our lyrics and this format is the only requirement; we'd love to see you bring something else, such as a lyrical flourish or an unusual style (are you in a metal band? Melt our faces).
