haha nice! That game does look bonkers! I’d also recommend Prodeus it’s a brilliant boomer shooter! I’m not sure where the name came from either, I always thought it was meaning games with an old art style ? Like as in the baby boomer generation so a boomer shooter was meaning an older style game? Be interesting to find out haha
I haven't played a game like this for a long time, but it gave me some great Quake and Serious Sam flashbacks
aww I’ve been playing quake 2 recently on Xbox as I missed it as a kid, I had 1 and 3 lol so good! Also been playing goldeneye , there’s just a charm about these OG shooter games!
My bet is if the sound effects are 80% BOOM instead of dialogue, ambient noise etc. then it must be a Boomer Shooter 😂
So any game can be a Boomer Shooter, they just need the sounds effects replacing like this classic Half-Life video!
According to my partner there should be a category for "clinking games". That's how he calles FF7 Ever Crisis due to the loud metal weapons clinking sound effects 😂
