It will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I had no problems with games being PS exclusive. There are games which are Xbox exclusive (maybe not that much these days with the game pass, not sure about that) and a LOT of games are PC exclusive. Many people don't have a gaming PC these days as it's a lot cheaper to buy a console than a high-end PC. I was always a PC gamer, yet kept buying PS just to play FF, and then started playing other console games too.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want the games to stay PS exclusive, because I'ld love for more people to be able to play these games, but whenever the topic of console exclusive games comes up, everything is loud from PC gamers crying they can't afford a console which costs less than the GPU they just bought, so PS games must be available for them right now, but you don't really hear console players complaining they want to play a PC exclusive game.
What I don't get about PC releases is that some games you buy directly from the publisher, then others are on Steam, Epic Store, Game Pass? I think it's too complicated. I didn't even knew for a long time that these services existed. I got Steam because friends got me to play something which was released there and then I thought oh ok this is how you buy PC games now, cool. Sadly I also made the mistake of buying FFXIV on Steam and it causes me a lot of trouble, would love to go to the pure PC version from SE but I can't, because once you bought it via Steam you are stuck with it.
So I feel like SE would be doing a lot better with PC releases if they kept their games 1 year PS exclusive (if I remember correctly this was a deal they had with Sony/PS) and then release a PC version themselves and leave out Steam, Epic Store and all that crap.
