Summer Games Fest 2025 saved this unveiling for nearly the end of the event, but Splitgate 2 went LIVE immediately after the announcement that this sequel would not only have Arena gameplay, not only a custom map and game mode builder, and not only a huge 8v8v8 "onslaught" battles, but also a MULTI WORLD BATTLE ROYALE game mode to revolutionize the FPS genre!

Ian (Cardinal Soldier) Proulx announced this on stage while holding what looks like the game's iconic BFB Melee Bat while proclaiming they took the best parts of all the games they loved and made their new favorite game when no one else in the industry was doing anything innovative!
