Summer's here, and while that's an optimistic exclamation for anyone residing in the UK, it does mean it's also festival season now. Whether you're gallivanting off to see your favourite bands this summer or you're just going to watch Glastonbury on telly from the comfort of your sofa, we want you to take to Minecraft and have a go at building a festival! Here are some things to consider:
Festivals can come in many shapes and sizes, but they usually feature the following:
One or two big main stages;
Tents with smaller stages inside;
Food trucks and bars;
A camping area for attendees;
Pop-up shops or market stalls;
Fairground rides;
And plenty more!
Whether you want to recreate a festival you've been to or create one from scratch, that's up to you, but definitely let us know which festival your build is reminiscent of if you choose the former. We'd recommend tagging that festival too, we're sure they'd love to see if someone recreated them in Minecraft!
Submissions should come as either a series of screenshots - make sure to include some work-in-progress images if that is the case so we know you haven't just downloaded a build schematic - or a video tour, showing us round and including some of the building process.
There are three podium prizes available for the top three festival builds, and a bunch of consolation rewards available for those that don't quite make the cut. Good luck!
