Landing your first role in the games industry can be tough, and recent developments are hardly encouraging. But more people are playing games than ever, and the industry will recover. If you want to make games for a living, you can - and there's no time like the present to start taking steps towards your goal.
Since its inception, WASD has featured a careers section, where real-live game developers have offered advice to students and jobseekers, and 2024 will be no different (check out the Thursday programme announcement). So if you're going to WASD, let's rehearse what you'd ask, and if not, let's pretend you are! Tell us: what questions would you ask those in the games industry that would help you take the next steps towards joining them?
There's no limit on the number of questions we're looking for, so fire away. The 12 best sets of questions can earn $3 apiece!
Task: Share the questions you would ask game developers if you wanted to get a job in the games industry
