On 20 September, 1984 - exactly 40 years ago on the day of this bounty's publication - the world was graced with the very first Elite game. In the four decades since, the galaxy has come a long way. In honour of 40 years of the Elite franchise, we're offering a pair of bounties with huge prizes. This one is for the creatives among you. In short, we want you to create some artwork that celebrates Elite, with bonus points if it's directly tied to Elite's 40th anniversary.
Art is subjective and it's not up to us to decide what is and isn't art. You can apply with digital or analogue artwork. That said, we're not accepting AI-generated images for this bounty. We would also like you to tell us a little about how you made the art and to include an image showing the artwork in creation for additional proof of authenticity.
While your bounty submission must be an image, that doesn't mean the art itself has to be: there's nothing stopping you making sculptures, cake art, or whatever other medium takes your fancy.
