I really like the style of pencil with a broken tip, but I'm not much of a sketcher haha. The base model was the python mk II

Just remember guys; if one of you had done it well, you wouldn't have to see me do it badly ;)

I'm clearly not an artist by trade but I do very much enjoy the art process. Art and music are so good for the soul. Below is a snip of the work-in-progress, just a mess of layers and doodles in the Concepts app (android). Played around with the sizing and positioning a bit, I think it turned out okay.

Great idea for a bounty Just About, thanks!

Last minute submission! I myself have always been a huge fan of posters, and those holo ads always looking so lively everytime I'm entering and docking at a port station (hope to see mine there some day :D)

The inspiration was that image of the classic Cobra flying toward a Coriolis station, all in 1984's rendering tech, paired with a bit more "detailed" Imperial Cutter and Federal Corvette as I interpret them as the two more "moderned" flagships (Sorry Conda, I will get you into a poster some day, same with the Alliance fleet), my intention was to celebrate the long way we have come so far, from that image of the Cobra from 1984 to what we have today.

I was not even born when the first game was out, and a fairly new to Elite: Dangerous, but my love for the game is there since the first day I booted it up, and I find it fascinating that the series have been there for 40 years!

To many more years and celebrations, cheers! o7

Proof that I made it:

Inspiration taken from in-game holo ads, a bit of style borrowed from Marc Million.

Cheers to cmdrs who made the ads, excellent artworks and thank you Marc for your inspo o7
