This is my first time editing in DaVinci Resolve! And it was stressful, but I loved it.

Because my PC couldn’t handle heavier visual effects, I focused on sound design, adding foley, ambience and subtle audio cues to bring the world to life. I removed the original audio of the videos so the game’s own music could stand out.

I mostly used footage from the official channel, but wanted to give it a different touch, so I combined different small scenes from all the videos with a bit of my own gameplay. The idea was to show the atmosphere and world-building first and then the mechanics, paired with an intense and captivating melody. I’m not sure if it worked, but I’m happy with the result, especially the ending, which is actually the beginning of the game. Funny enough, it fades out with “The End,” making it the perfect ending for the trailer too, followed by the invitation to add it to your wishlist. I actually found that clip at the very last minute, and ended up really liking it.

My favorite part? The ticking clock you hear when the scene changes, like time speeding up or quietly reminding us that the story is running out of it.

I also added a few on-screen words, like “dice-based decisions,” “turn-based combat,” and “different worlds.”

I’ll also include subtitles in both Spanish and English on YouTube so the trailer can be completely understood.
