In the demo, Nellie is introduced to us by mr blanc as a passenger needing transport. I created a video essay theorizing that she is actually a rogue scientist from the Helicline Institute, seeking redemption for creating the "Red Aether" weapons used by the military.

Key Evidence Analyzed:

1. The Weapon: When General Eli fires the Red Aether, Nellie screams that it was "never supposed to get out," proving she had prior knowledge of its development.

2. The Tech: In the scrapyard, she demonstrates advanced engineering knowledge (repurposing "equalizer piping" for filtration) though typical for a scientist, she seems to know too much about Aether specifically.

I used these clues to build a narrative that she is defecting to undo the ecological damage her inventions caused to the Lower Districts.
