A 48-year-old woman bought a rare first edition of Casino Royale, Ian Fleming's 1953 debut James Bond novel, at a car boot sale in North Yorkshire. It was one of only 4,750 copies ever printed, and cost her £1.
It was sold yesterday to a telephone bidder at an auction in Devon... for £10,000.
Apparently she bought the book because she liked the "love hearts on the cover"...!
