Accept or reject incoming call from your followers on X?

X now offers audio and video calls but it's easy to turn off | Digital Trends

X, formerly Twitter, has added audio and video calls as part of efforts to transform the platform into a multipurpose super-app.

Through X you can now send and receive audio and video calls, but is this what people want?

The platform seems set on becoming an everything app, one that serves a broad purpose throughout your daily life.

It seems this vision is driving a lot of the changes at X, but I hope this doesn't mean your followers / people you follow can call you!

Surely this implies a larger change to how you are connected to your followers / following list? Maybe you can only call if you follow each other. Would this put an end to people doing follow for follow campaigns?

I don't think any of us has asked for this feature on Xitter (I'll just call it like that now, sorry XD)

At the very least they have to make this feature to be available only if you follow each other, otherwise it will be out of control. It's difficult situation as it is with the DMs because you want to be open for genuine communications but get spammed by logo artists offering their products without you asking for it.
