Share your New Year's resolutions in content creation for $2!

Remember our goal-setting bounty? Last week, we asked you to visualise your career in content creation and break it down into so-called 'SMART' goals for 2024. Whether or not you made a submission to that bounty, you can still get involved in the follow-up: turning your 2024 goals into action.

Essentially, we're asking you for your 2024 New Year's resolutions as a content creator. Look at your goals for next year (or come up with them, if you haven't already!) and think about what you need to do to achieve them. Do you need to learn a new skill or improve your thumbnails? Perhaps one form of content isn't performing, but another is worth a shot? Maybe a shake-up of your daily routine is in order?

Figure out what you're going to do that's new or different in 2024 that'll take you closer to your goals, and submit it below in the form of at least one clear statement, like "I will stream at least twice a week" or something similar. Lots of prizes on offer here: the 20 best and clearest resolutions will get $2 apiece. Good luck!

My New Year’s resolutions for content creation are -

1 evergreen long form video per week per channel.
Stick to evergreen content that falls under Help, Hub or hero content.
Launch 3rd YouTube this year.
No news or non evergreen content creation at all this year.
Do thumbnails and titles first and if I can’t make good ones that I think will get a click from my niche I don’t make the video.
Less focus on other platforms outside of YouTube:

Mine is to start creating long form content for the youtube channel and I have a target of creating 2 long form videos a month and reach 100 subscribers by April. The biggest thing that's held me back is not knowing what to create, so I'm working on a plan for the channel and what direction I want to go in

Okay, so I did post in the other one and now it's the 1st, this is what my plans are and the team's plans are.

1-2 videos a day on our EoT channel
We are going to look at our thumbnails and see what we can improve
We are going to try and be more active in the community tab area as well
We are going to use shorts on our Minecraft platform to try and drive more traffic/exposure for us.
Our area of expertise in Eve Online will be expanded to take on more areas within the game.
We are going to plan some more streams and actually do them :P

I hate setting any "goals" for my content to achieve, as beyond just continuing to do what I already do, there's so much luck involved in my content actually getting anywhere. So here's some practical resolutions that I will try and make sure to do myself:

Further increase the quantity of videos. Go from 5 long-form and 2 Shorts to 5 long-form and 7 Shorts a week on the main channel, plus podcast whenever possible. On the other channel, 6 Shorts and a long-form video.
Find new websites or services where I can finally find more clients or companies to work with.
Further define and unify the channel's branding and the branding of the brand as a whole.

Goal: To be more in-tune with myself.

I know this is not a clear cut goal that you can set clear targets and steps for, but it's easy to do things and stream things for others for the sake of saving face or to be popular. The past year has been a struggle for myself mentally, and I made choices for my stream to satisfy others whilst putting my own mental health and thoughts aside.

This year, in order to help myself and in-turn, help my stream, I am going to try and find the balance of streaming for myself and for others at the same time, in a safe way for myself mentally. It's okay to say no, it's okay to stop streaming earlier than usual if you need to, it's okay to swap games if you need to.

This year, I'm focussing on myself so that I can continue helping others in the way that my channel always has, without taking pieces away from myself at the same time.
