has anyone else been invited to this by Facebook yet? I just got it tonight and it seems similar to Just About in terms of getting potentially “rewarded” as they say for posting? (No bounty’s or anything)

I wouldn't trust Zuckerburg as far as I could throw him, there is always a catch with his "meta" crap, always, it's never clear. But there is always a catch!
They've clearly seen what we've all be up to and wanted in on the action! 😄

Initial impressions are that it's similar to our Organic Rewards system, but fundamentally different if it's only open to invited creators rather than everybody...
It would help smaller creators so much if it was available to them.
One of the best things on JA is to wake up one morning and see the organic rewards notification. It always makes me wonder what did I write that people enjoyed because I never think I post anything special :D
