I am part of a discord that is full of similar content creators which is a big help on enabling me to keep up to date on the latest events. Other than that I spend quite a bit of time looking through twitch and YouTube shorts to see what is new and latest thing and now even Just About has become a another avenue for me to find out what is happening.

My tip is never be afraid to go and connect with other content creators just make sure that you make your own original content and don't make carbon copies of someone else's content.

For me it’s usually through all the social media channels. When a creator says to comment, save and follow I do exactly that. Not only do those simple actions really help the creator but also helps us keep up to date with anything new or upcoming.

I am Quite fortunate where a lot of my algorithm on X (Twitter), instagram and YouTube automatically has me viewing the most up to date activity when it comes to the creators that I follow.

With Instagram, I also have notifications turned on for certain content creators so whenever they post to their feed and stories I get notified about it straight away.

Well, I follow a simple pattern with Eve Online content.

I make videos I know the community like
I made videos I like making
I also cover Zkill (ship loss) videos etc

But, I rely on social media to stay up to date in terms of what's happening, patch notes, events etc. Also with JA, I have found it easier to speak to fellow Eve Online creators. It's actually quite hard to do so otherwise.

I also watch other Eve Online creators such as Wadd etc and see what they are up to and whether I can do similar stuff, as for my Minecraft channel, well I build, upload and watch lol.

Networking at Events

Drinking!

I'm not joking - drinking beers can be surprisingly effective for networking. Every year, there are several major events where many journalists gather, such as Gamescom. At these events, you often see the same faces each year, and in the evenings, there are many events for press representatives. These gatherings provide opportunities to informally chat with other creators. And you know what they say - "in vino veritas" - free alcohol makes people more talkative, so while enjoying your orange juice, you can learn a lot! People love to brag about new AI addons etc.

Another opportunity are press tours, where many journalists are gathered together (usually a full bus) for hands-on experiences, excursions, etc. And of course, evening dinners where, if you're not a drinker and know what to ask and carefully listen, you can learn many things.

Apart from that, I have several trusted friends in different journals or news portals. We often share not only news but also tools and tricks.

I'm on a creator friend's Discord, where people usually chat about events or each other's content, so I get a lot of information and connection with other creators from there.

On Xitter I have a list set up with my favourite FFXIV creators, that's what I scroll through most of the time to keep in the loop of what's happening and to interact with other creators. As I'm still very small it's mostly a one-way interaction, but it always makes me happy when a creator I look up to replies to me or likes one of my posts. Bigger creators are more aware of events happening so this is also a chance for me to learn about organised events specially for creators and keep looking out for opportunities in the future or to learn about big industry events.

When trying to stay up to date with the content creator community, I use the following forms of social media:

  • YouTube.

  • Instagram.

  • LinkedIn.

  • Discord.

  • Airwiggles.

I also attend events, and I am subscribed to a few newsletters as well.

I might be scrolling endlessly both YouTube Shorts & TikTok. BUT. I always tried to search and watch the newest niche or trend was. if theres a good one that fitting my content type, i'll try to make my content like the another trend. Also i always hangout with another creator for exchanging some information about hottest content

I do my best to interact with my mutuals content exclusively occasionally to make sure that my fyp and feed are showing me stuff that I actually want to see.

I loved attending comic-cons whenever I can because they allow me to surround myself with people I wouldn’t see otherwise, catch up with people and network.

Collaborating with other creators is one of my driving forces, as it allows for the most natural and fun content that I make.

Making sure I take time for myself but I always have something that I’m working on or coming up to prepare for

Mostly through social media i.e. twitter. I think I have my algorithm set to only show me things that I am interested in though having alternate accounts can help tailor this to your liking.

I also watch a lot of Phil Defranco who is a good litmus for breaking news in the world of entertainment and internet drama. I think having contemporaries that you speak to and collaborate with is also really useful so you can get their perspective on the evolving entertainment and creator space as well.

I also sometimes get stuck on creating content, but I have friends who always invite me to play games and try new things, so I know that there are games coming. not only from friends, sometimes I follow a discord community and get updated news that will benefit content creators to inform what is in the discord announcement, not only that, sometimes their web or social media also updates what is the latest. sometimes when you follow something from the game and create content for their community and succeed in making many players come, they sometimes don't hesitate to invite you back for the next event.

Maybe you could say that I am one of the content creators who always miss information, updates about a community and so on.

But I am grateful to have friends who always support me from behind, helping to provide the latest information about the community.

I am now also continuously trying to be independent to check all content creator communities in case there is an event that is missed

Oh my tips are, just keep follow the community content creator to make more friend and connection.

Social media is one of the best tools I have used in content for myself and staying upto date with creators. Discord chat is also a great place that I have found information and support
