Let me respectfully disagree with you.

Criticism is actually a profession, much like any other. You do not need to be a great poet or filmmaker yourself to be an excellent book or movie critic. It's about having a unique perspective on the content and a methodology to compare, reference, and benchmark one work against another.

Pauline Kael, Peter Travers, and Richard Roeper were never directly involved in film production, but they are well-known critics who have evaluated many films, including those by James Cameron.

So, it's not necessary for someone to do the exact job in a particular area to be able to critique it effectively.

We also had a few topics in that direction:

I think you have miss-interpreted what I mean and also maybe my messaging wasn't clear enough but when I said "Bad Comment" what I meant was people being nasty and not constructive at all.

Constructive criticism or constructive feedback is absolutely valid, but that is not what I was trying to convey.

I’d also say it’s pretty much a guarantee that critics, even professional ones, are doing less than creatives lol
