One of the biggest influences in mine (and many other's) lives is Burnie Burns. He is one of the key founders of the former internet studio Rooster Teeth and has been a constant in the content creation webspace since 2001.
It is also tangentially related to how I ended up on this site as Boomer was a fellow Rooster Teeth community member specifically for RT:UK - a UK branch of the community. When the community were commiserating over the closure of RT last year, Boomer's comment showed up stating that they were working for a new social site: Just About. Suffice to say that rabbit hole has lead to hundreds of comments, some interesting threads, and a lot of bounty rewards that has allowed me to stay afloat with bills as I relocated out of my parents place last year.
Burnie now produces a week-daily podcast called 'Morning Somewhere' with his wife Ashley. 25-30 minute shows recapping the news from political to entertainment. It's honestly one of the most consistent highlights of the day getting to listen to this on the way back to work, then diving into the subreddit to discuss the ep with the hosts.
So Happy Birthday Burnie! I hope you have a wonderful day. And I'll forgive you for mistaking me when I saw you at RTX London for a guy you met in Austin.
