My main pawn is a rogue, for survival and DPS. I'm currently playing as an archer (again, for dps), and for the renting - one slot is always a mage for heals and elemental weapon buffs. Last slot is usually a dps - rogue or archer, i still need to test how well AI aims weakspots.

I tend to have an equilibrated party all around. Before a fatal error deleted my save, I finished the Thief and Archer vocations and was starting with a fighter.

Main Pawn was starting with Archery and I always had a Mage (Not Sorcerer, I prefer the heals) and a Thief.

Doing all the vocations for the perks is really useful

Ah no, that's heart-breaking. Is there any hope of retrieving it or will you be starting again?

It is starting all over again. The most annoying bit of it all is The Game of Wits questline to re-do. That's a pain in the side.

I am playing as an archer, my main pawn is a cat that is a rogue named Mrs. Mittens, then I also have a warrior tank and mage for healing the team as well. Though i am thunkong of changing my vocation to warrior so will need to change the other pawns I use.

My Pawn Henry has been defending my party of 3 magic users this afternoon. We're like a travelling lightning storm, zapping harpies out of the sky >:D

Ha, nice. I was wondering how a party of magic users might fare! I was also considering a solid block of archers and relying heavily on the 'to me!' command to see if it would be enough to keep foes at arms length.

I haven't unlocked any of the special vocations yet, but my character is an archer and my main pawn is a thief. At the moment I'm also rolling with a mage and a warrior. I like to have a balanced party, something my party members observe very, very often

"No two of us are alike; we each have unique skills."

"We are truly a balanced party, each bringing difficult abilities to the battlefield."

"Look master, a ladder!"

Whenever someone points out a ladder, my main pawn (Francis) always says "After you, Arisen", with absolutely no consideration for whether I actually want to go up the ladder or not

I started out as a fighter, tried thief, archer and warrior. Then I switched to mystic spear once I unlocked it I maxed my previous vocations then once I got to warfarer I though I loved it but it seems the ultimate skills disappear. So I decided to switch back to thief being my favorite. My main pawn is a Warrior since that is my second fave. And I reserve the 3rd spot for a mage and 4th for an archer. I tried to sub my 4th for a sorcerer, but it wasn’t really my cup of tea 😃

My pawn is Loki, names and modeled after my cat because I thought it would be funny 😁. Shes (yes she, we were told the kitten was a boy but turned out that was a lie) is a mage in a support role with skills based around status healing and giving weapons boons.

My current vocation is spearhand so strong, fast melee with weaker ranged abilities. Lots of jumping arround with a spear, very fun.

My other pawns I tend to choose one ranged and one other melee. I actually look more for complementary personality rather then a specific voation as I already have a kindhaeded main pawn so having more might take away momentum in fights. I tend to keep away from the aggressive type and lean more towards tactical.

I started as archer but hated it and the game for the first 90 minutes or so because of it. The keyboard and mouse controls are pretty bad so its a controller game for me. But then all the moving the camera about trying to aim with a controller I just couldn't get the hang of (i'm sure i's fine if you are used to a controller). So I switched to fighter and later warrior and it was much more enjoyable. Gave my main pawn the archer class, then I always hire a mage and thief so I have a balance of them all.
