As with most open-world RPGs, once you're through the tutorial in Dragon's Dogma 2 you can gallivant off wherever you like. Following the story beats isn't required and though you need to hit some of them in order to access certain areas, there's plenty you can do while ignoring the main quest entirely.
And many players have exploited that freedom to 'break' many an RPG, getting ridiculously powerful far sooner than intended. What hacks can you find, or have you already found, for getting as powerful as possible, as soon as possible?
